Ugh... so sorry Keyzy. Sounds less serious than the last time, but I don't envy your recovery or bills
Yes, Clover, my daughter will be trick-or-treating with Mommy and me dressed as an elephant. Or an Ellyphant, since her nickname is Elly
I missed a bunch, so sorry to everyone I'm neglecting
Busy yet great couple of days here. My wife and I were both off work AT THE SAME TIME yesterday and today. Since we'd already paid for daycare, we had more alone time together than we've had in 2 years. We didn't do much yesterday because I had a second interview with a local psych facility. The interview went great. I got a unit tour, met some of the staff, and everyone seemed pretty happy with their jobs. Quite a change from my current job atmosphere... It's only an as-needed slot, but they hire from within for full-time, so I'll do my time and wait "patiently."

Oh yeah... did I mention the 27.5% pay increase???
Today we had lunch at Chipotle then went to see Paranormal Activity 3. It was pretty darn good! Then we took a walk at a local park before picking up the little one.
The only bad part of the last couple days was calling collection agencies. (SO SO SO tired of wrestling with our old screw-ups) None of them would accept anything less than 100% of the total amounts due. I can't begrudge the creditors for wanting what they're owed, but it makes me wonder how many people use bankruptcy to avoid paying them at all when they refuse to negotiate. C'est lavie, I've got a plan in place. If they don't like the speed at which they're being paid, at least I'll have lots of documentation showing good-faith effort to repay the debts. Good-ol' snowball method. That's the best I can do, so I refuse to stress myself out.
You know, I kind of miss the days when I didn't have a child counting on me to be responsible. Only kind of, though.
Good night everybody! I may check in tomorrow, or I may not. Either way, you'll be hearing from me Sunday as I trudge
through my Sunday double!
