Keyzy...yes, doctors do understand insurance...and should be sympathetic to you :) If he is as good as you say, compassion is part of his treatment :) I really hope this works out for you because you've had a heck of a year <sigh>

{{{{{HUGS}}}}} to you and your entire family :) Let us know if there is anything we can do to help :)

Ugh... so sorry Keyzy. Sounds less serious than the last time, but I don't envy your recovery or bills :(

Yes, Clover, my daughter will be trick-or-treating with Mommy and me dressed as an elephant. Or an Ellyphant, since her nickname is Elly :)

I missed a bunch, so sorry to everyone I'm neglecting

Busy yet great couple of days here. My wife and I were both off work AT THE SAME TIME yesterday and today. Since we'd already paid for daycare, we had more alone time together than we've had in 2 years. We didn't do much yesterday because I had a second interview with a local psych facility. The interview went great. I got a unit tour, met some of the staff, and everyone seemed pretty happy with their jobs. Quite a change from my current job atmosphere... It's only an as-needed slot, but they hire from within for full-time, so I'll do my time and wait "patiently." Oh yeah... did I mention the 27.5% pay increase???

Today we had lunch at Chipotle then went to see Paranormal Activity 3. It was pretty darn good! Then we took a walk at a local park before picking up the little one.

The only bad part of the last couple days was calling collection agencies. (SO SO SO tired of wrestling with our old screw-ups) None of them would accept anything less than 100% of the total amounts due. I can't begrudge the creditors for wanting what they're owed, but it makes me wonder how many people use bankruptcy to avoid paying them at all when they refuse to negotiate. C'est lavie, I've got a plan in place. If they don't like the speed at which they're being paid, at least I'll have lots of documentation showing good-faith effort to repay the debts. Good-ol' snowball method. That's the best I can do, so I refuse to stress myself out.

You know, I kind of miss the days when I didn't have a child counting on me to be responsible. Only kind of, though.

Good night everybody! I may check in tomorrow, or I may not. Either way, you'll be hearing from me Sunday as I trudge through my Sunday double! :vapor:

Forgot I wanted to share a picture of my beautiful wife and daughter. Hope it attaches ok. I can never figure out how to add pictures to the dang forum.

Oh Keyzy!!! ((((HUGS)))) This, too, will pass.

My Saturday. Last night DH said he wanted to take me somewhere today. I got up late as usual, to find a bag on the kitchen counter- for me, he said. It was a cape/wrap in teal alpaca wool that I'd tried on some months back at our famous Saturday market. I'd said it was nice, but not $### of nice. He often gets our veges at the market, and apparently has been looking for the same stall to be there again. I'd have bought a black one, but teal, turquoise or aqua is much nicer. So that was a real treat.

My outing turned out to be to the Museum of New Art. Heard a lot about it but never been. Even DD agreed to come, and she's usually too embarrassed to be seen with parents. We had a great time looking at all the amazing 'art'. Then we had a really nice late lunch at a very nice little restaurant. So I've had a great day... except...

As the day progressed I noticed my throat getting dry & sore. Yep, it's a cold. Can hardly talk and I feel awful. Early night for me tonight. Tomorrow is our last synchro skating practice before the comp next Saturday. I don't want to miss this vital training, but on the other hand, I don't want to infect others and have them getting sick even closer to the competition. Wah!!! These things happen though, so no point worrying.

Don't even ask what thumbnail the forum thinks ought to be attached here. Sometimes I leave something ticked and it does this.

Good Afternoon! I got back pretty late last night from seeing the grand-nephew since he lives 3.5 hours away. Mother and son were released at 11 am Friday after an 8:40 pm birth Wednesday (get 'em in, get 'em out) so I saw them at home. My niece took him out of the crib while he slept and I held him most of the time I spent at her house but he never opened his eyes! Adorable as can be, though. I hope to see his eyes next time!

Keyzy, I can't believe you have to go through even more crap than you already have! I yelled "NO!" to the laptop when I read your post. So sorry this mess isn't over for you already.

Eurgh! This is my first cold for a long time. Could be it is not working in a place dealing with the most disadvantaged in our society, or maybe the lack of stress of that job, or perhaps just having given up smoking. I hardly get colds/flus etc these days. Had to miss skating today, but I did force myself to clean out a whole chest of paperwork, mementos etc. A really interesting exercise. Tired out now though.

I was ready to place an order anyway, then the new USA flavours were announced, so I jumped. And for once, I beat the clock for the discount !!! (glad I set up a gadget thing to tell me Chicago time.) Had already stocked up on black wow blanks, so now I've stocked up on gold wow blanks, some purple wow blanks, ordered a couple of flavoured prefill cartos and some Java Mint juice. Sounds goooood! Couple more of the new flavours sound like I might enjoy them.

Funny, for a while I was ordering every week. Then for quite a while it seemed like I was ordering nothing. Now I've placed 3 orders within 2 weeks, mostly cos I was running out of juice, then black blank wow cartos came in, then gold. My next major order will be when Wow Nuport juice comes in again. Still got plenty, but can't wait to taste the next batch .

I'd really found myself happy just with Wow Nuport, Wowboy Peppermint &/or Wowboy. Black cartos for Nuport, gold for the others. Matte black diamond shorty batteries. Didn't really need anything else. Then I started running out of things and lost a couple of batteries, and stock shortages have thrown me out of whack. It's one thing to order enough for a few months, it's another to maintain stocks through droughts. It does support the advice to have backup flavours & carto colours.
 I guess one day I'll get a system in place that'll get me through most situations, but it requires brainspace, planning, etc.

See you tomorrow purps

Morning everyone. :)

Ms. Katz hope you feel better quickly. Really looking forward to hearing what you think of java mint. The only way it seems to maintain through a drought is to have back up flavors you like enough where you can take a break from the out of stock flavor. Sad part is V4L is actually in pretty good shape in overall in stock, just happens that the ones out at the moment are beloved juices... :)

Morning folks!

Off to my all-day struggle to stay positive. I'm going to do it this time! My daughter sure didn't make it easy when she grabbed her coat and tried to come with me, but I'll do it. I have plenty of juice, my kindle, and a charger for my phone. The only thing missing is a big flask of strong liquor, but my employer (and the state nursing board) are all uptight about "impaired judgement" and "liability" and other imaginary words ;)

Have a great one! :)
