I'm doing okay folks. A little wiped out today so probably just take it easy today.
I'm retired due to medical reasons, sometimes it just flares up bad enough for an ER trip to make sure nothings gotten worse.
Just the joys of having a chronic illness, I know many others on here face similar troubles on a daily basis. :)

I'm glad you're ok. Take it easy.

Am I correct that the Provari is a variable voltage mod and not a variable wattage mod? If so, what makes it more valuable than another vv 18650 mod? I use a vv Lavatube that costs $40 and it works GREAT to me ! Why spend $110 more?
I'm not trying to be nasty or argumentative, but I really would like to know what the difference is, if anything.

I want it for a few reasons. It's built like a tank but the most important to me is it's made in America. After having 2 vmax break on me, having a finicky rider robust that doesn't play nice with everything I have, and 2 egos and a twist die on me I'm down for American quality. Everything Chinese made you never know where quality control is and if there even is any....
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=348880 same question honestly.
Also I'm not buying it :) sooooooooo

Provape does state 'made in the USA', but it's important to note that US law allows that statement if a company makes a certain percentage less than 50% in the USA. This means that a company can legally claim their product is 'made in the USA' even though technically less than 50% of said product is. Most importantly, that little mo-bo and chip that provari uses is more than likely made in China, as is the steel. A more accurate statement might be 'assembled in the USA', but even that is problematic, as the same rules apply.

Don't knock Chinese manufacturing: it's what keeps the USA afloat. It really depends on the company having the device manufactured to keep quality control to higher standards.

Thats exactly what I'm knocking though is quality control.
Believe me 99 percent of what i own ecig wise is Chinese made. Thats fine. Maybe even 99.9. Don't even think the SB is made in America anymore. Or most of it.

the provari is PWM behind a filter and gives you pretty damn accurate voltage. if it says 4.2v, youre getting 4.2 or extremely close to it constantly.

lavatubes and other chinese PWM set at 4.2 is not a constant 4.2, or close to it (some of the newer devices have claimed increased accuracy but idk). they fire at 6.0V then off until the avg is 4.2v in theory (some of the new ones you can change from Avg to rms). either way there are youtube videos where they recorded the actual output being significantly higher than what you expect.

has anyone ever had an issue with their boges first of all showing a vry low ohm load, then finally increasing in ohm load over time? Also, Im having some show a low ohm load then throwing off f1 errors. I use a Vmax, and I haven't had this problem until I started using the VVV tanks. Does filling up the tank to completely full cause this, or could it be faulty cartos?

Just popping by to say to Ray take it easy, can't take care of everything else unless you take care of you! :)

Also intently listening to the apv convos, I will finally be stepping up from the Twist in a couple months, I keep changing my mind every day what I want. Can't really afford a Provari. But I'm hoping for the next best thing.

And thinkin on having Santa bring me one of them pretty pyrex tanks! :)

DB if you don't already have a Silver Bullet, scour the classifieds till you find the right one for you. You def need an SB. Cannot recommend enough. You already have vv through the twist. SB hits like a freight train at 3.7 volts, and with lr cartos and vvv tanks it's a dream come true.

Ofc, everyone has their vape utopian device, so ymmv.

I thought about it, just cuz they are dang cool, but I think its gonna stay on my want list for a bit. I wanna stick with VV. If I get another set voltage its gonna be a box mod of some sort. I'm leaning toward a zmax atm, but that's subject to change. Lol :)

yesterday i had a brand new carto show 2.2 ohm, then after letting the juice soak in, it showed 1.2 and kept erroring out. firing at 3.0v was instant burned taste.

Same issuse I am having, exactly. Is this just a boge issue or what? I have always liked Boges quite a bit, but this is frustrating.

I second that. I actually prefer the Silver Bullet with an Evolv Kick over the ProVari. They're both great devices and, of course, it depends on your personal preferences.

I've never had that issue. It also has never occurred in the cartos I test, so not sure what to say there. They do increase in resistance some over time (as crud builds upon the heating element).
The fill level on the tank wouldn't affect the carto resistance.

I have had the occasional instant burnt poly taste. That one you can chalk up to a dud carto. Not really sure what to say on the other part. I always use the SR cartos personally and I've never had the Provari error out on me. I suppose it's possible the dud cartos react to the moisture and lower the reisistance, but I'm just spitballing.
