The thing I dislike about the metal drip tips is that I guess I'm too heavy of a vaper. They get uncomfortably hot.

I'm with you on that, Ray. Metal gets too hot for my taste too. Right now, ceramic is my favorite, but there are some pyrex drip tips that I want to check out soon.

I haven't been keeping up with the evic like I'd like to be... have they made it Mac compatible yet?

It's just a firm/software installer, so you could do it at work or at a friends house. I wouldn't expect tons of firm/software updates, so it's probably not a big deal.

Honestly, I'm unsure. If you can download and run the MVR softare, it will work. Software is here:Joyetech download

THat's a great question BOARD Which is important to me also!
Is there a tube you can buy to make the evic a mini? I def prefer small devices! I'm even tempted to trade my provari for a mini at this point....

I haven't seen a mini tube yet, but I know there are already people making aftermarket tubes for the eVic. I was told there's some in the classifieds. Joye is coming out with some new tubes next month (after their holiday sometime) but I think it's only color options.

Run windows in virtualbox or another VM software. That should work fine for Mac, and Linux users can just use wine. That's not perfect by any means but very doable.

tapped on my gNex

That's how I run windows on my Linux box ;)

I just uninstalled windows. The moment I installed it my mac started acting funky and now I need a full wipe. Regardless there's always a way I get ya.
Ray. If you don't mind me asking. This is your first PV being sold on vvv. What made you decide on the evic? I think it's a great choice, just curious.

Basically, I liked what I was reading about it, at least after the 1.1 firmware was added.
There's also the Vamo I was considering, but I got the run around from the manufacturer so I'm not sure what to think about them at this point. Instead of taking a Vamo order they tried pushing a very ugly mechanical mod on me.
