IN MY OPINION for doing a steak I wouldn't do it without being able to cold smoke it. Reason being is that if you smoke it it is going to cook it and you don't want to cook a steak in a smoker. The smoke will over power it and it doesn't seem to turn out good. If you do want to smoke it slightly i'd smoke it at the lowest setting you can for about two hours and then grill it from there. This will add smoke flavoring to the steak but not over power it. The issue with doing this is now to get a medium rare cooked steak is not easy as part is already cooked from the smoking.

As for a site I would suggest, not really I tend to take bits and pieces from each one that I look at when doing it. As for the overnight stuff that is normally the marinating ect and most of that really brings it alive. I've marinated a steak for close to 48 hours before and it was great and I have also done some for under an hour that came out great as well. Just depends on what you use when doing it.

Just ordered myself 2 more Triple V PolyPros!

Hey Ray, What's the current processing time on those? I don't mind waiting... just wondering if you can give me a ballpark on how long I might be.

Bring on the tanks baby!

Yesterday he said he just finished Fridays orders so I'd estimate 2-3

For a turkey i'd personally do a dry rub on it and stick some juicy apples in it. From there thats up to you if you want to baste it ect. Just make sure that once you are done cooking it to wrap it in tin foil and let it rest for at least 15 minutes. Then cut in and enjoy.

good idea!
a dry rub? this would be a seasoning cocktail and cover the turkey in it? would i not have to sit overnight then with it? and to baste, doest that mean inject it with juice? or brush something on it? apples are good idea, i read to cut apples into quarters and cover in cinn. sugar. im so very inexperienced with this :)

You don't have to let it sit over night doing a rub on it, it just helps move the flavors of the rub further into the turkey. In all honesty if you want the best tasting turkey you'll ever have it will take close to two days of preping the turkey... You could start it tonight and have it Thursday night or I'd start it Thursday night and smoke it Saturday. This will allow for you to brine the turkey and really bring the flavor to life.

1) Good morning (my morning)!

Living in rural Nevada, where trailers explode on a regular basis, the potential restriction of access to nicotine has me pondering...

Could we see nic labs popping up? Could 4mgs be distilled to increase the potency? Could nicotine be extracted from other tobacco products? Actually, I'm not visualizing labs, I'm visualizing stills - Moonvape? Pappy out in the woods soaking pipe tobacco in in some kinda contraptions and Burt Reynolds clones racing down the backroads one jump ahead of the FDA'ers.
