Maybe he found a old bottle of nic juice and he's all nic'ed up? Hope not... :)

3.

I think it was the sunshine this morning that put the spring in his step :) After a long walk and a Chuck-It session in the softball field he is napping in a healthy way, not an I'm-too-depressed-to-move kind of way :D

Sorry to hear about your pup illness :) We have a full blood corgi. Was fat but now losing weight and doing good. Bossy as hell towards our Pound pup Mostly basenji and something. The besenji is a chewer, almost have her cured of that. If the girls would pick up shoes and socks it would be better LOL

We have a shetland sheepdog and a beagle. It's the sheltie that's at the vet right now.

Evidently she has a respiratory infection AND a staph infection.

Thanks, Orobas, I think he's pretty special :)

TroyHoot, my niece's 18-month-old lab/border collie is a chewer...poor Megan has no shoes left (LOL) her own fault for not giving the dog a job, AND for leaving the shoes within her reach ;)

Once, we left her in the car when we went inside for a few minutes and when we came back she had dumped my purse, eaten a whole bag of dog treats, chewed up a pack of gum, and all four corners of a book I had just borrowed from my sister!! All the while, Xavier was lying in the back seat waiting patiently for us to return. He's never chewed anything but his own toys and treats. It's interesting how different dogs are.

If you know any hunters. Try and get your hands on some antlers. Best chew thing I have ever found. Ginger(basenji) is a STRONG chewer. shew can eat a rawhide in seconds. The antlers last her a few weeks. Just a 6-8" piece. They are full of calcium and wont splinter or hurt the pup in any way. If they get real small you just toss them out so they dont swallow it whole. You can buy them online but they are a bit pricey some times.

If you catch them chewing on somthing bad, try to take that away and give them something you want them to chew on. Ginger is 5 or so years old, and Im sure was abused at some point. Shes alot better now but still when we arent home she gets in stuff not supposed too.

I also had to get a child gate/railing for the sunroom to keep all daughter toys in. Keep bedroom doors closed ect LOL. She is a very very good dog besides her love of chewing though. So i take that one bad with all the good.

let her know about the antlers. Rawhides really arent good for dogs. If they chew off chunks and swallow. They dont digest well at all. takes a very long time to get out of them. Ginger would eat them and then spit up white foam for a week or so after. I researched this and found out it was the rawhides. After I changed to antlers she has never done that again.

I've never had an issue with the rawhides not being digested well. I guess my dogs all chewed everything to reasonable sizes before swallowing. Just goes to show that all dogs are different. Xavier's not much of a fan of antlers, but LOVES hooves! Meg knows about antlers. Like I said, she's 23 and knows everything ;D
