4. My daughter's school is on a two hour delay tomorrow due to "sub zero temperatures". While I'm glad for the extra sleep, I was raised in Montana, I laugh at the concept of a two hour delay due to cold.
And as I type this, I hear my Dads voice in my head "when I was a kid we walked to school in the snow, barefoot and uphill both ways"

5. Seriously! It kills me to watch. I'm totally not gonna dive in too deep here but its out of control. Last year my daughter took a nasty fall at school, scraped up her face real bad, they thought she may have fractured her cheekbone. All I kept hearing is "she's such a champ" and "I'm impressed with how tough she is". Damn right she is. Because I know there's a time to catch 'em and a time to let 'em fall. I'm not preparing a child for fairy tale here, I'm raising a person for the real world. Just sayin.

Everything closes if there's a dusting of snow, though. Because we IGNORANT SUTHURNERS can't drive in it.
Well I probably could, since i'm not a ...... But i wouldn't want to in a dodge neon. no weight, no traction, and snow tires are unheard of here.
