My VD will be spent at work, walking Emmy, and then sleepy heavily =]
EMMY - Emmy is really adapting well to a leash and following subtle commands when it is used. I still have to tighten it up and pull her away from some things/areas, but she's coming along. Being let out without a leash and coming back in right after a piddle to get a magnificent congratulations, 'Good Girl', pet, scratch, and rub down has been very effective and has her wagging-azz when she is typically stoic. Bath this weekend for sure, after 3 weeks she needs it... she prolly won't LIKE it, but she needs it so I will try to adapt the bath to include massage, scratch, and a bit of personal grooming that she enjoys while she is still in the tub. Hopefully I can get her over the fear and have her enjoy it a bit.

#1 I just have to say that I hate Valentine's Day. I know I know, I'm a horrible unromantic jerk. But all the false sentiment and ooey gooey love festing has my stomach turning. On the plus side, I'm the only girlfriend I know who doesn't require flowers and schmoozing on Feb. 14th. Plus, tomorrow I get to go buy discounted candy. Yum.

I am kind of torn about it :/ I don't care about flowers, I prefer plants - as long as someone else keeps them watered and alive =] I am a sneak with candy, so I buy it, keep it out of sight and put away and maybe 1x or 2x a year I will eat a Reese's peanut butter cup or Almond joy, otherwise I forget it. I have taken the time to READ a card maybe 3x in my life - when someone STOOD IN FRONT OF ME WAITING, otherwise they are trashed immediately. I like hot baths, candles, a glass of wine, and mani, pedi, and massage, but when I want them - not on a particular day...
I guess I am anti-VD as well... but I may do something special for my dog, Emmy XD

One common re-occuring theme I have been noticing lately is how alot of the established online vendors in the e-cig business have been getting over whelmed with orders lately. Not just being out of stock because of the Chinese New Year, but diy flavorings, juices etc. This whole vaping thing is snowballing now I think.

You know, I have noticed the very same thing... Maybe a huge number of people are out buying vapegear since the FDA is on the move or perhaps more smokers have awakened and located the vendors.

That's a pretty good incentive to keep it up =] I'll be following in your footsteps soon, I am still trying to get my sleep schedule back to working nights and have energy left when I get off at 7AM XD I usually walk the dog when I get home and then pass out only to wake in time for work again

Tough schedule to get adjusted to... I never cared much for 2nd or 3rd shift because of that. Hey check out this pasta buster I found:GEFU US Kitchen Products I love spaghetti squash, but when I cant find it this might work. Im a firm believer in the all you can eat diet.

Spaghetti squash? Too sweet... I have tried to replace pasta with it in the past and... *shivers* I am not a fan of spaghetti squash. Plus do you know that squash is HIGH in carbs?!?!?! Way high! All of the root [carrots, beets, potatoes] and fruit veggies [vegetable is the actual budding and growing 'fruit' of the plant - squash, tomatoes, beans, peas] have a lot of sugar, so high in carbs... I went 100% vegetable & fruit for 2 months =] Didn't lose a single pound... I had fresh fruit juice, veggie juice, no sugar, no caffeine, only juice or blended veggies in soups... all of the sugar and carbs kept me from losing.
Now when I cut it down to 20 carbs a day =] Lost 20 lbs in 2 weeks... then I ate a pizza, a few sandwiches, had a bit of juice, and I gained 25 lbs back! It is hard to find a happy medium :/ but I'll get there, sooner or later.

I at least get a complete pass and green light to eat as much as I want. I snack on baby carrots all day (they are way low on calories) and just completely avoid processed carbs.. So I skip bread/ pasta(whole grain or not) potatoes. No fruit juice. Meats for protien the leaner cuts. Anyway its worked for me 95lbs since last May. Mmmm caffeine... couldnt go without that lol. I have noticed though that biggest weight loss is when I switch things up. Its like the body gets accustomed to something and what works for a month suddenly plateaus, so I change things up a bit from time to time and allow some bread/ pasta.

I dunno about complex carbs, but I was using fruit juice and lots of fruits in smoothies as well, so that was probably the culprit... and I gave up my raw carrots and celery for snacks at lunch because of the carbs :/ CELERY HAS CARBS! I hate celery... hate the taste, the crunchy wetness of it... then suddenly I liked it and bought 3 heads of celery a week... then I couldn't have it any longer - BACK TO CELERY!!!

#2 The smell of celery is very weird to me. I don't know what it is, but it just puts me on edge. I don't mind it when its cooked, but I can't cut it up to add it to anything because the smell just bothers me.
On a side note, I hope you did something nice for your dog for V Day. I love dogs. I have a 2 year old mutt that I love to death. Hes the doggy-est dog I've ever known. Hes so funny. I love to watch him chase the laser pointer all over the house.

CHAT - Smell of celery! Heh! I agree with that! Bloody Mary mix *yuck* bcz it smells like celery! V8 is the only way I ever drank Bloody Mary's!
I just got Emmy 1, 2, or 3 weeks ago, I forget... She's 6 yrs old and came me as a trimmed Shih Tzu that bit when bathed or touched near the face or stomach. Within 24 hrs I had the rest of the matted hair shaved from her belly and then she was professionally groomed bcz she had matted hair around her inch long nails :/ She's okay now... I'm just learning her quirks and trying to get her to trust and learn what 'mothering' is and how being in charge doesn't mean being an ... and causing pain...
I don't know what the weekend will hold for us... but she'll like most of it =]
