I got it working after fiddling for a few minutes. To be honest, I though I was doing something wrong. But it wasn't just the pin, it was also the coil. It also seems like most of their VN's have similar problems. Now that it's working, it just isn't working well. I don't mind learning how they work, but I don't like having to learn how they work. It did take me longer then 5 days to figure out they are just poor quality.
I don't need to wait for something to go back and forth to China. I didn't order it from there because it was cheaper, and I don't mind paying a bit more to both support USA vendors and get the piece of mind.
I'll use my children's toy example. I have a 3 year old. All the toys he gets as gifts are crappy plastic Chinese made toys. I'd say half of them work out of the box. The other need to be fixed, glued or rewired right out of the box. I rarely return them, they typically hit the landfill. I also
buy him older used Tonka trucks on E-Bay. They never break, cost less, were USA made and are nice to look at. But, they aren't making the good Tonka trucks anymore. They're all crappy Chinese plastic, now. I miss the old days of making stuff better.
