I have 3 Vamos, one from a US online Vendor and 2 from fasttech. They are all 3 identical and all 3 are working fantastic. Go for it. Just be wary. Some people are getting bad nitecore chargers in their kits. The one i got this week almost cooked my new panasonics. I was a little disappointed considering how much every likes them and how good they work. Luckily i have an efest LUC to pick up its slack.

The difference is you have someone who's local who depends on people like us to stay in business. Yes, it's going to be more expensive as the overhead is completely different than an online store. But you also get the satisfaction of getting it now as well as supporting a local business.

What I don't get is the crying that happens when the local vendor folds because people preferred to spend online instead and they can't get something immediately because theirs broke.

For a small markup and to cover overhead costs I don't mind. I do mind paying for his/her kids college tuition for 4 years on the price of a clearo.

With my stores here I've tried to help them as far as juices to get and supplies. I've mentioned other places selling the same stuff at a cheaper price or someplace I've seen online that they could order from to cut their cost on their stuff. They have been adjusting their prices on stuff to become more competitive.

Yeah I have noticed a ot more "sale prices" lately.

My loyalty is to the best deal; plain and simple.

Every B&M here (L.A.) is wayyyyyy overpriced. I really don't think I could sleep at night knowing I paid double the price of what I could have paid online. It's great to support the local community but why would you want to support someone who's blatantly overcharging you and the rest of the community?

I got it working after fiddling for a few minutes. To be honest, I though I was doing something wrong. But it wasn't just the pin, it was also the coil. It also seems like most of their VN's have similar problems. Now that it's working, it just isn't working well. I don't mind learning how they work, but I don't like having to learn how they work. It did take me longer then 5 days to figure out they are just poor quality.

I don't need to wait for something to go back and forth to China. I didn't order it from there because it was cheaper, and I don't mind paying a bit more to both support USA vendors and get the piece of mind.

I'll use my children's toy example. I have a 3 year old. All the toys he gets as gifts are crappy plastic Chinese made toys. I'd say half of them work out of the box. The other need to be fixed, glued or rewired right out of the box. I rarely return them, they typically hit the landfill. I also buy him older used Tonka trucks on E-Bay. They never break, cost less, were USA made and are nice to look at. But, they aren't making the good Tonka trucks anymore. They're all crappy Chinese plastic, now. I miss the old days of making stuff better.

I rebuilt the coils. Still cheaper than US shops. Still.. bottom line you have choices. Choose to buy from them or choose not too.

I have gotten crap from US vendors.

Just ordered mine now. Takes almost 3 weeks for fast tech to get to me though.
ZDTgja

I order a v5 on December 16 and it just hit LA yesterday. So it will be around 3 weeks here too.

To add to the original conversation, our local shop sells at prices on par with any online vendor I've seen with the exception of FT. Provari is around $165, MVP2 for $40 (no kit), Protank 2 for $18.95, etc. where the overhead is made up here is things like mesh, coils, accessories and juice. Most "gear" is priced well. The only reason I ordered the Vamo from FT was to save $20+, but i have tons of ego stuff to last the duration of shipping.

I purchase everything locally unless it's overpriced to the Nth degree. I want to support local, but in some cases you just cannot justify the cost difference. Those are the times I buy online.

Just my $0.02

I must be lucky then, because the two B&M shops in my area are pretty much on par with some of the best prices online, domestically that is. One shop, EVOD heads and Boge cartos are priced exactly as various online stores, but there's no shipping charges. The other, they have the juice I like, and it is almost the exact same price as the manufacturer with shipping, 10mls are $8 in the store, online, $6 and $2-3 for shipping. I've even seen EVOD kits, two EVOD tanks with two eGo batts, for way, way less than online!

Does this mean I won't shop at FT? Not at all. In fact, I've been eying some clones there, that really fit my budget. I know it comes down to the quality, clones are clones, not the real deal, but if I spend $15.52 on an Atomo V1 clone, real one going for $180's, and it breaks in a year, I *think* I can afford to replace it.

I have had this conversation several times on here. I have absolutely no problem with a B&M charging higher prices. They have a lot more overhead than an online store is going to have. Support em if you have a good one. If you have one and you order from FT or any other online vendor because you can save 3 bucks then you have no one to blame when your mod craps out or you lose it or run out of juice and have no where to go. In my town we have smoke shops as the only source for any vaping supplies. a ce4 is $9 a mini vivi nova is $15 (I bought the exact same one from Fast tech for 2.25) a no name 900 mah ego with a ce4 is $25.99 and a no name twist is $39.99 they do not have any other choices no tanks no drippers, no mods of any kind. It sucks. If I want to go to a store to see some of this stuff. The closest one is in Kansas City 75 miles from me. So to summarize support them if you have a decent one, but don't take it in the @$$

100%. Supporting your local shops is great, but I refuse to buy something that is unjustifiably high priced and claimed as overhead. Overhead doesn't justify charging 50% more than the item is actually worth. Sorry to say, but something else can be worked out there...

Well im sad to report that the 3 ive gotten from fasttech have all 3 stripped out at the threads. The first one i bought here in the states is still powering along. Pretty impressive considering its my bang around the racetrack and ranch one. But im happy to report i just picked up a provari in the classifieds yesterday!!!
