I've taken my SS Vamo apart to refinish it. The top cap is tightly press-fit, and I think the top 2 sections of the body are press-fit but I couldn't get them apart (not necessary for my purposes). It's possible that they have used metal glue on this section, or it just might be super tight. If you take a hammer to the Vamo, be very careful to not hammer directly onto the connector in the top cap. It won't take it well at all. I personally wouldn't use a hammer, especially if you've waited so long to get it. You might be able to straighten it with just your hand strength, carefully. I would start there. Good Luck.

Thanks I will give it a try!

I placed an order with Vapor Break 3/16/13 and got a email saying it was shipped on 3/18/13. I still have not recieved my order and I emailed them a couple of days ago asking about it and haven't got a response. The tracking number doesn't show any movement. It just says "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment." I didn't order a Vamo, but I guess the company they use to ship is just super slow. I mean it has only been a little over two weeks. I've had something else I ordered from China take over two weeks to get here. I guess I will just have to keep waiting.

You guys are the most patient people I have ever seen! Everyday I see this thread move to the top of the forum and I read the new entries. I don't know how you guys can do this... especially with defective stuff coming over. I would be stressed to the max!

As it is, I just recently got a Vamo from MVS that was defective. I emailed them and they sent out a new one the same day after they tested it as I requested. When I received the new one, it worked fine and MVS even sent along a return shipping envelope postage paid. Yup, I did have to pay $49 for it +shipping, but it was more or less a stress free transaction.

Good luck to all of you! I truly mean that! I don't envy what you're going through... even when things turn out perfect!

Somehow, I was able to chat with Karen just now.

First she said: "you must get it in this week, now the goods has been in usa". I asked her where she was seeing that it was in the US now, because none of the tracking websites even allude to that information, and she simply dodged the question.

Then she told me: "you shuold get it in 3 days if you still do not get it you can chat me here next week i will refund you". I told her I had opened a PP dispute, just to make sure I do get my money back. Lastly, she said: "sorry i think the best way is to wait for more days, otherwise it do no deliverd ,refund is ok".

We'll see one way or another. I'll report back once I have more information, either way.

Cheers

Well, first off, I hope you get your package. The company they use is China Post (if you paid for the cheapest shipping option, that is).

As was said before somewhere in this thread, China Post puts international mail through Beijing International, which I'm sure is bogged down to no end due to the vast amount of exports that China puts out.

Companies like FastTech that are also in China, usually use Hong Kong Post for their international mail. For some reason, this method is usually much faster than going through Beijing. Not sure why, but I think that's the general consensus.

It will likely be over 4 weeks to get an item from them through China Post. Eventually you will see the tracking show a US posting. For anyone else considering ordering from Vapor Break -> ([ DON'T DO IT ]) unless you are ok with allot of time waiting, a possible defective item, lies from the staff, and likely no RMA or real refund. Yes I have experienced all of the above.

NO real point in getting stressed over it. When I ordered from them, I wasn't in any real rush to get it since I have a vamo already. I was just ordering this as a backup in case something happens to mine. I just figured I'll take a chance because of price, and if anything, count the days and file a PP dispute before the 45 days are up. I only got concerned when the original tracking number they sent me kept on coming up "not found" then finding this thread and seeing all the issues others were having.

Like I said, there was no real point in getting stressed over it, there's only so much you can do when you order from over seas. Granted, I'll do everything I can to either get my product or my money back, but I did place the order knowing that there is some risk involved.

I took a chance, and then doubled my risk by placing another order with them before receiving the first one. I received my first order, and hopefully my second order will show up sometime in the near future. Atleast the second order does have a working tracking number, although from my first experience, its pretty useless, went from "acceptance" for a couple of weeks to "arrived at bethpage sort facility" and that was on the usps site.

Me: No they show as in stock, but i thought they were out of stock'
Karen: 'no we have them in stock now, would you like to order one'

Oh yes, typical, very typical. There are deals to be found all the time on these devices for $10-$15 over the vaporbreak price. Buy your chineese device from a USA vendor and let them deal with all the Karens over there when there is a problem.

Well, I am amazed that my SS Vamo arrived today. I have been having much trouble with Vapor Break, but my order from 3/18/2013 made it here long before I expected it to. 17 days is much better than 5 weeks. I wonder if the a second order was what speeded up the shipping process? Now I have another one coming from Vapor Alley since I didn't know what to expect from VB. I guess I'll just eat the cost of the $20.00 item that was defective from the first order and delete VB from my logins now. OK, no more complaining.

I ordered a ss vamo from them on 3-25. It was shipped on 3-27. It arrived at the Post Office here in NJ today (4-5). The tracking info never changed from the time it was shipped to the time it was delivered. I just ordered another one to have as a spare. Don't order any juice with it and it most likely will make it thru customs without any problems.

ok, got my SS vamo from vb today. I ordered on 3/26 and they claimed it shipped on 3/28. I ordered the main unit and 2 "vivi nova" v2 clearomizers. I decided not to do a hastle about a claim, the o-ring at the battery connection inside the unit was covering the connection and I got it mainly fixed myself but will have a person who has proper tools examine it and maybe fix it better.

The 2 vivi nova v2 clearomizers are knock-offs. The only part that is vivi nova is the clear tank section (plastic part) and the rest is an immitation. They did test fine with my electric tests (no shorts or anything) but they are not the oems (sorry for spelling) they claim to be (the 2.8 was reading at 2.4, the 2.4 was reading at 2.1 and the 1.8 was reading at 1.4 - which I think will be way too low for the Vamo - even an immitation; which this one is).

I will be checking to make sure it is stainless steel because it is a lighter in weight (by a small amount) than my gunmetal vamo. Glad it does have the gold spring for the battery cap and the vent hole is about the correct size and is perfectly centered.

I would really say, they seem to be selling immitation products so have it checked before using. When I go there, will not be using them as a supplier - found a much better supplier in Hong Kong and they have the real Vamo! They don't sell online and I discovered by my fiance and her family that they have very good pricing and do sell quality products. They also import so can get American made items from them also (at great deals).

Wow, I just learned that the CE mark on my Vamo from Vapor Break is fake. Here is the site with the real examples so you can compare.

What is CE Marking (CE mark)?

Unless I am misunderstanding that page full of explanations it appears to be a mark required to conform to some European standards? Anyway, false or not doesn't matter to me as long as it is working. It's cheap, it works, it's made in China but I'm satisfied so that's all that matters.
