I use AW IMR 18650 in both of mine. They work just fine. I dont have any 18350's to check them out but I think they work also.

I use Aw IMRs in mine - 18650 and 18350. Button tops. I haven't stacked two 18350s. The 18650 was a bit loose in the tube - it sort of thunked inside a bit. I stretched the spring up and stopped that. There is a thread on what batteries work with the Vamo here if you are interested:

    No you can't
Had my vamo (version 2 chrome buttons) 8 days now using 18350 batteries only, heavy user. Yesterday as was using it, it shut off by it self a few times I notice the batteries had play in case I had 18650 batteries in it for the first time. All along it was working good with 18350's in it.
Problem I had 18650 battery in it, this battery is slightly shorter then 2 18350's which I was using. As long as you use two 18350's or one 18350 you will have no problems.
My fix, place a small nut in between the battery and spring PROBLEM FIXED.
Don't foget 18350 batteries should be paired and married for life or use single 18350 battery at a time.

Unprotected IMR are the preferred battery for this mod. Don't use protected batteries as they tend to conflict with the Vamo's built in protection circuitry. Panasonic has a hybrid/IMR which has protection but is also high drain capable. Those are reported to work well. Efest IMR batteries are ok but don't hold a charge as long imo, even with higher mAh. Stay away from Trustfire. I would stick with AW-IMR. A bit more expensive but you get what you pay for.

If this helps, I haven't touched my zmax since my vamo arrived...

I use the Panasonic button top 18650 IMRs in my Vamo. No rattles or connection problems.

    VV650 VAMO V2 (body only) - VaporBreak

31 bucks including shipping. login/register girst and the price is lower than what it says, like jackbox mentioned on this thread. thnx to jackbox!
How are these Vamo's from VaporBreak doing, holding up, performing? Are they the real deal or are they a knockoff? I'm not snooty, but I do like knowing the features and quirks of what I'm buying. (this site sells DID genesis clones without stating they're clones, so I must ask about the mods too)
If they are clones, how do they differ in performance, quirks, etc?

OH! While I'm here, how are the gun metal Vamo V2's holding up? Are they peeling or fading or anything like the Black Chromes do?

Funny. I love my Vamo but I just got on the list for the Sigelei Zmax and Tele coop. I love the Vamo in 350 mode but it's a bit to long in 650 mode. The Sigelei is almost a full inch shorter so that'll probably be my 650 tube. Still, 2 Vamos, 1 Sigelei Zmax and 1 Sigelei Tele is collectively cheaper than a single ProVari. OK by me.

You just need a standard ego-510 adapter to make your kangers work.

Just got my Vamo a few days ago, some of my clearomizers "kangers" are to large to go on the mod. What adapter should I order? A link is appreciated. Any other suggestions for accessories that you have found helpful on the Vamo?

I use the Vamo more because I like the option of 350 or the 650. I find I use the 350 mode at work and the 650 only when I will be out and about for a long period of time. :) Don't know which device I would use more of, if the Zmax could also shrink - lol....

I have noticed a difference in how the 18650, 18350 batteries perform and charge.
I have eGo (Vamo) version 2.
    I'm useing EFEST batteries.
Two 18350 800 mAH, last all day. Charges in 2-3 hours.
One 18650 2000 mAH, last about 7 hours. Charges in 5-7 hours.
Has anybody else notice this ?

There's a review at stevesvape eGo (Vamo) APV Review - Advanced Features, Budget Friendly
talks about 18350 in variable wattage was that vapor production was considerably less than the same 8.0 watts when two batteries installed/3.0 volts were being delivered to the atomizer. Unfortunately, I was using a 2 ohm atomizer.

mightymen, what type of charger are you using?
Mine is a Xtar WP2 my Panasonic CGR18650 2250mAh's take a about 3-4hrs to charge, although I recharge when they get down to 3.4V.
I have pair of Torchy 18350 850mAh and they take about 2hrs.
One feature I miss on the Vamo, my Gripper would give up when it got to 3.4V now I have to check else it goes all the way down to 3.2/.1V

Well I read that stevesvape review and was left scratching my head. He's trying to test volts in vw mode using a volt meter on a PWM device. He needs a decent oscilloscope to test this mod. So I don't even trust his numbers.
He didn't even test the mod with an 18650 but then concludes that its has "poor performance" with a single battery.
Then he says that with dual batteries the Vamo has to pulse everything. Its using PWM regardless of what battery configuration you put in there.
He's right that these devices are not designed for low resistances, but tests it with 1.5 ohm dual coils.
I got the impression that he didn't know how to test or review this kind of pv.

Here's a real review from some-one who would say if those things were the case:
A PBusardo Review - The Vamo - YouTube

He goes into battery vape time with 18650 or 18350, and has the right equipment to measure the accuracy.

Here's another review. In this one, at 1.5 ohms there is a drop in the numbers at 5 volts or above. With higher ohms the numbers are accurate.
Eagle VV & VW Mod Review (aka the Vamo) - YouTube

Its not necessary to stack 18350s to get a very good vape from the Vamo. I use an 18650 or an 18350 and get plenty of vapor. I've been vaping with an 18650 in the Vamo while sitting here and there have been clouds.
