FYI if you are confused by volts/watts, here is a nice chart (not mine) showing how it works together:

My fire button is getting wonky. So bummed, only had it for 2 weeks. It's catching and seems to want to stick inside...I wish I knew enough to open it up and get it there because I feel like I want to push it from the inside out. It doesn't stick out as far as it use to. I read about this little issue so I was expecting it. Just not so soon. :(

and this is why I did not leave a review for the device on the sellers website as of yet. I in no way blame the seller, been at this game for a while now so know how to play. lol I definitely will upgrade to a better vw device when I figure out which one I want. and I guess I regret getting the ss. Sure the outside is durable but the buttons, not so much.

Yeah, same to mine. It's really damn cheap low grade brass... Lucky I can fixed it easily. :D

Pull the top part off from my Vamo... lucky it's a 2 pieces thingy.

All I have to do is machine a thick washer ring and attach under 510-ego adaptor. (Again, lucky I have a micro lathe machine. :D)

Here it go...

Due to 510-ego adapter top was a little too tall, so I have to grind it off a little shorter. Too lazy to make the grooves for airway, anyway I only use AGA-T+ so it won't be necessary.

After shorten the 510-ego adaptor...

Now it still going strong... :D

:banana::headbang:

brilliant... question, can it spin when a tank is tightened on it though? or when its pressed in, is that enough to keep it from spinning? and did you add that small piece to solder too like a pin of sorts or is that just solder i see? on your spacer washer thing..

No. It's totally tightened.

It's just simply soldered. :)

Contact your seller to see if they will exchange your VAMO. It's hardly a big secret that Chinese QC leaves a lot to be desired. Retail pricing should account for that fact.

Skypea, I agree with Peraspera. Send it back, your vendor should replace it for you. It's a common problem with Vamo's regardless of finish and age. Sadly, an APV with zero weak points has yet to be created, irrespective of price or qc.;) Heh, just as well this isn't the Provari forum, less chance of being told otherwise.

Such a pity though, I was really looking forward to seeing your wrap experiment.

that spacer/washer you machined...how does that ego fitting stay in there? did you thread it too? reason i asked is because i spotted this and wondered if this would work too.

No, I didn't thread it. Exactly I did used that thread ring from 510 to 510 adapter. Here a pic I shown to someone PM me asking the same question as you few weeks ago.

...The finish is holding up well, no issues thus far.

Give it time, my held up for about 3 mo., but it's still doing what it's suppose to. I do wish the finish held
up better, although it really isn't a big issue for me, if anything was going to go wrong...finish would be my preference. YMMV.

I ordered and received a SS about a month after getting the Gun Metal aka Black Chrome and both are working flawlessly. I don't see a need for any other MOD, the VAMO had me hooked from the gate. :D

The GM is 4 months now, the SS 3, so I'm Happy Happy Happy! :vapor:

Well thanks for the suggestion. I'm not one to return things at this price point. It adds to the cost in shipping and the costs to vendor to replace, hurts us consumers in higher prices in the end. But that's just me.

All is not lost. I was able to pry it back out with a paperclip and a nut pick of all things. and I'm being very carefully with all the buttons. Still seems loose. Hubby thinks I should buy another one, but not another ss. I'm thinking about it. I also think that it would be easier to wrap. Seems like nothing wants to stick to the ss.

Thanks for letting me complain. <3 to you all.
