i THINK the Vamo V3 is also brass with chrome plating,i wouldnt buy it.

Its the same as the v2s - it comes in chrome (brass that's plated) or stainless steel. Stainless steel is better as its not such a fingerprint magnet - but chrome is ok. I have chrome and mine works like champ 7 months later. I think the stainless may be a bit lighter also.

Rainbow V3:
Vamo V3 body - HOT Sale e-cigarettes - Product Catalog - Shenzhen RainbowHeaven Technology Co., Ltd--electronic cigarette, e-cigarette, electronic cigarette suppliers
Fasttech V3:
https://www.fasttech.com/products/1411/10004394/1376701

They are in different boxes. I have the one from Fasttech and says nothing "Rainbow" on the box or in the instructions so I can't say what brand this one is. This is my first VV VW device and I've wanted one ever since I started listening to Vaporcast podcast. They tout the Darwins.

I've used mine for about 4 hours now and no firing/button issues. The #1 issue with the Vamo I heard about was "slippery". The V3 with the grooves, no slipping issues at all here. 2nd was "fingerprint magnet". On the Black/Chrome, you have to really look close for them. I have some buyers remorse, I think the body is plated and will chip, ding and show scratches fairly easily, maybe. I was kinda expecting it to cook dinner and that didn't happen. But that's about it. It more about utility and price than looks and build construction on this PV, though it is very solid. It does what I want it to do and look forward to seeing what all the hype is about.

The newest vamo2's now work with out an adapter for kanger t3's

Yep, vaping my T3 atop my V2 right now. Just got my V2 in SS about 5 days ago and so far I love it. But man, this thing is heavy for a PV, and with a 18650 it's really almost too big. I much prefer to use it in 18350 mode. The weight does make for a nice balance with a Pro Tank on top.

I have both. Didn't think I would like the V3 as it looked a little funny in the pictures. There are several differences between the two, most of which have already been mentioned. The V3 has a better OLED screen. The engraving allows the device to be gripped much easier, I.e, it doesn't try to slide out of your grip as easy. It's not such a fingerprint magnet either. The top drip well cap is removable and larger allowing easier cleaning and better air flow.

The V3 can be ordered with or without the rhinestones. Don't laugh, the wife loves her "bejeweled" device. The RMS setting on the V3 is not changeable but would be highly recommended and generally considered preferable over an average mean setting. Vapers petitioned the manufacturers several years ago to add RMS because it is a more consistent setting and one desired by most vapers. The only negative is that the V3 does not come in stainless steel, which is a more expensive and higher quality build imho. Also, the V3 looks much better in person than it does in the photographs. Surprisingly, I now prefer it to the V2, it just looks cooler and better executed. I find the V3 slightly better for all the reasons stated. In reality they are very close. If you see them up close, it will make the buying decision easier. You simply cannot tell from pictures alone, you really do need the touch, the feel, the heft, etc. For example, I thought I wanted a Tesla because it looks cool in the pictures. Picked up one yesterday to check it out and it's made of light aircraft aluminum. I thought it would feel more substantial, like a stainless steel mod. I didn't like it and took it off my wish list. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but it's a lousy way to buy a mod, and looks is not the only reason to consider one over the other. Check it out, you'll see., Welcome aboard, good luck, congrats on getting here and Vape On!

My V3 SHOULD be in this week.. I hope. It took them a week to finally ship it and it's been sitting in the HK airport for about 4 days now. God only knows when it will get here but Screw the whole SS is better than chrome buzz, I'm gonna strip the Chrome off of mine and try to get a polished brass look from it (more satin is what I want) and then I'll post some pics, will suck just getting it and then immediately losing it to the refinishing process but I hate Shiny things, I'm gonna de-polish my AGA T2 as well to match it.. may even do a Cera-coat on it or something!

I'll also post if this issue is present in my version.

I've seen a few vamos have button failure in relatively short time periods. I would pick up a lava tube over the vamo..

You are pretty new here. So welcome. Sounds like you don't really know about the Vamo though. Also - the OP asked about v2 or v3 Vamos, not lavatubes. Lavatubes are noted for being inaccurate because they don't have RMS, and they also are vv only. My Vamo has been used heavily for 7 months and is still going strong. I see you have a lavatube - enjoy it, but please respect the topic of the thread as well.
