Big tobacco and big pharma own all of us, they own our souls. You dont vote come election day, your prime minister has already been bought and paid for. They just want you to feel like your making a choice...your not.

The PM's of this country have pretty much all been the same. Doesn't even matter which party (the previous several have been beyond horrible and scandalous). It's ultimately the corporations who run the place, and I try not to think about it too much, lest I go bonkers.

I think it would be great if we can get the media's interest because it's when things are REALLY public that the big players can get embarrassed enough to make concessions.

Exactly, they better start serving only decaf. Oh and the cup is a drug delivery unit, the coffee pot, filter, spoon are all drug paraphernalia, the sugar, milk and cream are flavour which might make it appealing to children. They have ice caps and sell those to kids OMG lol. stupid stupid stupid.

Ahhh, I just started vaping too! Well balls… better stock up I guess.

This is like the whole Snus ban in the EU. They ban the healthier alternative because it’s not as healthy as steamed broccoli, but they continue to let people die from smoking. It’s not like it’s a big secret that smoking cessation products are all but useless for most people!

Compliance and Enforcement Policy (POL-0001) [Health Canada, 2005]
9.0 Appeals

The Inspectorate recognizes that some of its decisions may be disputed by regulated parties. In the interest of transparency and fairness, the Inspectorate has implemented internal appeal processes to facilitate the resolution of contentious issues that arise in making some of its decisions (e.g. drug establishment licensing). The Inspectorate will, however, ensure that such internal appeals do not compromise its compliance and enforcement activities.

A long shot but might be worth it for some of the vendors...

I read every page here and there is a lot, and i think there is a lot we can do too..

1. OK lawyer and law suit (that all i'll say) we can all help the supplier fight the big fight.
what about helping them guys. your ordering nic juice this week, donate an extra $10 to them and help them fight it. and help cover there cost for lawyer....and that all i'll say....

we have great supplier in Canada and i'm sure they will do everything they can, everyone can help out by chipping in a bit.

2. the debate is coming soon for the election, you can send your question and comment : question@electiondebate2011.ca
it is on every news Chanel every night right now.

3. just an idea but check Greenpeace mission statement. (cut and paste here) Mission | Greenpeace Canada

Greenpeace is an independent, nonprofit, global campaigning organization that uses non-violent, creative confrontation to expose global environmental problems and their causes. We challenge government and industry to halt harmful practices by negotiating solutions, conducting scientific research, introducing clean alternatives, carrying out peaceful acts of civil disobedience and educating and engaging the public. Greenpeace’s goal is to ensure the ability of Earth to nurture life in all its diversity.

Greenpeace seeks to:

Protect biodiversity in all its forms;
Prevent pollution and abuse of our oceans, land, air and water;
End nuclear threats; and
Promote peace and global disarmament.

just an idea.

4. we are a lot of vapers, rally anyone? on every city in Canada on the same day at the same time? the supplier will be happy to send mass email or post it on there wall and promote it....

again just an idea.

cheers

sabyrock, i love a good fight!

So, is this thread dead? I'd like to weigh in with my $0.02

Does HC make the laws? Or do they merely make recommendations?

It would be understandable if they were serious about our health and worried the product may do damage over long term use, but all the ingredients have already been determined safe (or FAR safer than analogs) to vape, so it doesn't take a genius to figure out it's about money.

Also, did the FDA not just back down recently and accept the court's ruling that it is an alternative to smoking?

I'm almost a month into vaping and completely off analogs. I would hate to have to go back to analogs.... EVER.

Don't worry you won't have to get back on analogs, and HC seems to think they can make their own laws, but don't you worry my friend, we are working on this with HC and in the meantime, if you need nic juice PM me ok! I can give you a list as well as make you some DIY juice any flavor any mg strength to tied you over! I just can't get it there now with the Canada Postal Strike!

I got lucky and my order from outside Canada managed to slip by the guards so I'm good for awhile, thank you though. Just really concerned about the future.

I read last week that the FDA gave in to the SCOTUS' decision and have allowed the hardware and liquids to be imported into the US. Perhaps HC will follow (only logical as Canada has become their... ahem... ........ I mean look what's being done in our name in Libya) but we have to keep in mind that they won't want to lose the taxes paid on analogs.

Absolute worst case scenario: I will make my own nic and buy PG and VG from the pharmacist. Already purchased PG and VG from Shoppers DM and cut down some of the 24mg I got to 18 and 16 and it works fine for me, but will be sticking with the 24mg as it's a better TH.

And to be completely honest, I used to smoke as much as 60 analogs a day. Today is day 27 of being analog free, BUT I did
a) try to smoke an analog an hour after starting to vape - result - first puff gross, second puff gagged and almost puked
b) forced myself to smoke a whole analog 10 hours after starting to vape - result - still taste gross and don't really want them anymore
c) accidentally lit one first thing in the morning 2 days later - BLEH! WTF!?!? One puff only
d) 7 days later tried another analog and forced myself to smoke the whole thing - still gross. Don't and won't ever go back to them EVER again.

Vaping on the other hand..... I don't think I will ever quit Muhahahahahaha
