In my quest to find a solid bottom feeder while I await the Reo Grands to be back in stock, I've tried both a Reo Mini (not enough power for me..) and the Vapage VMod-XL.

Everything about this mod is great, except for the draw. Actually, it's not the draw per se, it's the amount of air I get when I use it. I've tried various different atomizers, including the hybrid they provided and no joy.

It produces plenty of vapor, but has a very weak throat hit, and I seem to be drawing in nearly as much air as vapor. It almost seems as though they're designed this way, but frankly, it sucks!

Any advice on how I might be able to get a decent draw on this thing without sucking in as much air as vapor?

I currently only have the original v2, but from the XL thread, this may help;

From what I've noticed, you can tighten the draw some by screwing down your atty/carto or the metal ring that goes around it down a little further. Mine also got airy when my inner O-ring wasn't seated right, which also caused some slight leaking. Be careful if torquing down, you don't want to screw it in too tight.

I feel for disclosure purposes, I should mention that I am by no means a veteran with this, these are merely my observations.

Thank you for the fast responses! It does look as though the inner ring wasn't seated right, or at least it sure came out without much of a fuss.

Any suggestions on how to best reseat this, if there are any tricks? Going to try fiddling with it myself.

Tightening alone didn't seem to do much.

I'm feeding it with Boba's.. would high VG present any sort of problem? As I'm using their hybrid carto, I wouldn't think it would make a difference (?)

I am vaping Gorilla Juice with a Hybrid so pretty much the same set up. In fact most of my VG juices are run through the XL in preference to my other set ups.

As you said the Hybrid has a very light draw. I have been using a Dripping Atty and that is a bit more stiff. As are good old LR 510's.

If you go to the Video Reviews forum here there is a huge thread about this device. Including loads of opinions regarding atty's.

I don't mind the Hybrid but to each their own.

So far I've put a Joyetech on it, an HH.357, and both a SR and LR Boge- doesn't seem to make a difference. I personally don't care much for cartomizers, but the polyfill seems to slightly be helping the draw.

I see two lips, one about half way down (where the threading ends) and one towards the bottom, where it lips to the 510 connection. The only just below the threading looks like it should fit the O-ring perfectly, but that ring gets nudged whenever I screw the casing back in... hmm.

Brand new, about two weeks ago.

.. and I was wrong, the O-rings were in fact of different sizes. The outer O-ring smaller OD than the inner O-ring. I just swapped them to see if that would help, the fit seems better, but still getting far too much air. Taking a look at it from the feeder now to see if I missed something obvious there.

Okie dokie, looks like this is settled, thanks for the assist.

After swapping the O-rings, I re set the inner O-Ring with the casing on. After that I popped out the hybrid and put in the 357, and torqued everything nice and tight. Draw seems much better now, still a little airy, but a vast improvement.

Thanks again, Horseman! :)
