Give that Berry Shortcake a little more time Reidus - it gets better as it ages - the flavors start to meld & come together & the creaminess comes out a bit more.
The BonBon needs a couple of weeks (at least 3 in my opinion) to hit its stride. Horribly long wait, but nummy after the wait (and once you've tasted it well steeped, you won't want to vape it before it steeps!).

I don't know if that would work or not, but I love the idea of a stardust (or nova or whatever) as a new nebulizer! Could be a whole new style for the COPD crowd :)

Wouldn't it just? Glad to hear about the juices; since I'm already loving the shortcake, it getting even better is awesome! :D
And I don't mind waiting on the Bon bon. I can tell it's gonna be awesome eventually.

Update: The problem's solved. I took a look at her nebulizer. Somehow the connector between the battery and the device had been depressed. My nephew took out his pocket knife and pulled it back out and it works just fine! She's ordering a spare nebulizer just in case though.
On to something completely different: I told you I got a small bottle of Dragon's Kiss from ECB. That's a chocolate/Maraschino cherry juice. I just ate a Hershey's Kiss and followed it with a vape of the Dragon's Kiss. Wow!!! That's a wonderful way to end a meal!

Mornin all. Glen why don't you use the quick-steep method? Heat some water in the microwave until hot but not boiling. Then soak the juice in the water until the water cools. It works surprisingly well. I use a baggy to keep my bottles dry. I"m not one for patience. Rather I"m more of the "Lord grant me patience and grant it NOW!:D

It's reeeeaaaaallllyyyyy yummy Glen

Tempt me no further, foul temptress! I shall not vape a juice before it's time! The power of vape compels you! :D

I might give that a shot when I have a supply of a particular flavor that is already steeped to which I can compare the results. It does seem like a good way to speed the process if/when I run out of my favorite flavor(s) and I just can't wait a week or two, or a particular juice requires a much longer steep time.

I hear what you're saying about patience though, and it's not a quality with which I was born. It wasn't until my late 30s that I acquired patience due to dealing with family matters and some of the people I work with every day. I guess it's one of the benefits of getting older, as I've learned that some things are just worth the wait or extra effort. :D

Hey you guys.. apparently I haven't been on in a few days  Work has been awful, since they took my third person away. The hospital is losing money so they made cuts everywhere, but our business has not diminished and sometimes it's all we can do to keep up with it. I had to call people in a couple days last week. So by the time I get home at 11pm, I'm fried! And then I sleep late the next day and don't get anything done.. so I spent yesterday doing the grocery thing and some cleaning. And today is the grandkids.

So I have to tell you,,, you know I've never had much luck with the stardusts. I decided to give em another try. I've got my ECB chocolate sin in one on my Twist and WOW! There's stuff in there I didn't taste before! And I've got some HHV peanut butter cookie in one of their mopheads and that's really good too. Seems to me the rebuildable ones perform much better for me.

I did place a small order with Mr E liquid. Really, I just wanted into their contest here :) So thought I'd try a couple small bottles. Can't remember but I'm pretty sure I ordered some of that Gray Matter, since Chrissy seems to like it a lot. And I've read good stuff about the .... so I'll try that too. We'll see how they are. The only other thing I might need this month is some tank cartos. Can't be buying a bunch of stuff because we've planned our next vacation.. we rented a cabin on the ocean in Maine. I've never been to Maine.. and our travel buddies haven't either. We're all staying together in the cabin.. it's got 3 bedrooms so it should be a ton of fun. Hard to believe,, we planned a vacation that does NOT center around a casino!!!

Reidus,, that's such good news about your mom!! I hope she sticks with it. I think the fact that it's working for you should be a good motivator. My son messaged me this morning and he's got 4 converts so far and another two thinking about it. I don't think he's as "into" the hardware as I though he would be, but it's early yet for him. He's still on his Ego-T tank set-up.

One other thing that I'm lusting over is a Sagewood glass tip. Those tips I got from Drip City were crap.. I gave them away. They just plain didn't fit the cartos properly and they were too big.. felt like sucking on a globe. Sagewoods look MUCH better.. might have to go peruse those.

That's it for me.. not very exciting when you're not buying much :( Hope y'all are havin a great weekend!

Mornin all. We're off to Heather's today to get my juice and get Mom set up.
Luv, hate it that work sucks. I share your pain though; we've gone from 13 professors to 9; still same number of students though. And we've gone from every department having a secretary to having 3 for the entire college! This means we have a graduate student answering phones, etc. Not exactly a positive image is it?

I've got a Vivi Nova question: I got my first one from Avid Vapes, I think. It has long wicks. I got one through the HC Coop and just opened it. It has short wicks! Is that a new one, or is this the original Vivi?

Well, if I remember correctly, I had a version one and it had long wicks. Now I've got the version 2.5 and it also has long wicks. I think the version 2 had the short wicks. I'm pretty sure that's how it went.. so many people were cutting the wicks on the version one that they went ahead and made a short wick version. Most people were unhappy with the short wick version so they brought back the long wicks... trim em if you want to, or not. I don't know what's different from the long wick version one and the 2.5 but the new one I have performs much better than the version one I had. I'm definitely going to try those T2's though.. and I got a mophead from HHV that I really like. Ohhhh, you already knew that!

have fun at Heathers! We'll expect a full report when you get back :)
The V2 has short wicks - as Luv said, V1 & V2.5 & V3 have long mop heads, V2 has the shorties - you can cut your long mops if you prefer the short :)

Hey ya'all!

So last night, my hubby came right out and asked the dreaded question. "Exactly how much money have we spent on this vaping stuff?" This was asked after he had insisted I get one of my spare batteries and hook him up with a cart of Mayan Apocalypse (HHV). So, I began the time of totalling. To ease my Jake's peace of mind, I told him I was probably only around $250 or $300. This I knew to be a very low estimate. Believe it or not, his response "Well, I'm glad that you quit smoking and I guess it is ok as long as you don't start again and that we limit the amount you spend from here on out."

This morning, I decided to get an actual total, so I dutifully went through all of my orders from Nicotek ($94.50), Vapor4Life ($230.79), ECBlends ($40.94), Mister E ($18), and HHV ($12). All of these totals include shipping.

So, grand total....drum roll please....

On my 1 month anniversary of not smoking cigarettes anymore (yay!), I have spent $396.23 on vaping.

Oh...and flavor update....I have tried a few more of my bunch...though I still have trouble parting with Gray Matter....

Gandalf (HHV): At first, I was not fond of this flavor at all. It is a very woody tobacco. Although, I could certainly picture Gandalf blowing smoke "ships" with this. It wasn't until an hour into vaping it, that I began to find myself enjoying the experience. It develops an almost sweet flavor beneath the tobacco that is fantastic. Dare I say, perhaps that flavor is honey? This will definitely be a part of my arsonal of flavors I will keep on hand.

.... (Mr. E's) : Raspberry & Dark Chocolate. It resembles a dark chocolate raspberry truffle. It isn't overly sweet, which I think is due to the dark chocolate's bitterness, but the raspberry lightens it up. The raspberry is there on the inhale and exhale, while the dark chocolate lingers as a warm aftertaste. There is another flavor in it, but I can't really put my finger on it. This flavor works very well. Alas, I do not think I will order it again. Not because the flavor is off, but it just isn't up my alley.

Parrothead (HHV): I have a fascination with key lime. This flavor is not Key Lime Pie, instead, it is more like a Key Limeaide. It has a slight sour to it, but is balanced out by a slight sweetness. I kind of think it tastes like the green and yellow fruity COPYRIGHTDMCA. (I'm was one of those strange kids that would sort my colors of cereal while they floated in the milk and eat them separately.) It is a refreshing flavor, but I don't know that it is one that I would order again in the future.

Finally....1 more....

I got my ECBlends order on Saturday and quick steeped them (the almost boiling water then cool - Method). This method may or may not have worked. Never tried it before. I am only going to judge one liquid on its flavor after this method.

Dragon's Breath (EF): Everyone raves about the Dragon's series, so I had to get in on it. Dragon's Breath is creamy and minty. I do not really know what dragon fruit tastes like, so I cannot judge that flavor and how it is produced in this vape. On inhale and exhale, I primarily get the creamy mint, but the aftertaste has a light fruity flavor. This reminds me of very soft and light after dinner mints.

Well Chrissy, I'd say you've done pretty well for yourself. I won't even tell you how much I've spent in 8 months. I don't even want to know myself! But hubby is so darn happy that I'm not smoking, he doesn't really care how much I spend (which is a good thing and a bad thing all at once!) He just shakes his head and rolls his eyes a lot.. but always with a smile!

I have several of the Dragon Series. I made the mistake of buying great big bottles of them and I'm finding that they don't age all that well. They get thick and dark and I don't enjoy them nearly as much as I did when they were fresh. I've been thinking of mixing them with some other stuff I have hanging around.. who know, I might come up with the next best thing!

I have to tell you,, I got some Mr E liquids today. They say to steep for 9 days or so, you know I can't do that. I just have to try them. I did the hot water soak too,, don't know if it makes any difference. I have to say though, I really like the ...... I got the dark chocolate and raspberry, but I think there's a touch of a tobacco back note in there. It's still pretty darn good. The Sexy Beach tastes darn close to the drink.. lightly sweet, cranberry and orange. My absolute favorite is the Mango Melba....seriously yummy, that one! And I got a freebie Berry-a-peelin. It's a pretty nice banana. I'm hoping the berry will come through on that one after I let it sit for a week. I'll let them all sit for a week now that I've tried them.. we'll see if they get better. But I like them so far. And I placed the order on Friday night and they were in the mail today... pretty darn fast!

Work beckons... have a fabulous day everyone!

How funny our taste buds are! I got the Berry-a-peelin sample too and I tried it and all I got was berry. I didn't get any banana flavor out of it. Same thing, I set it aside to see if it will come through in a week or so.

Just got back from Heather's. They're really delightful people. Heather could make a living as a motivational speaker! She allayed Mom's fears (she's having a lot of trouble breathing atm and was ready to give up). Apparently, Heather has severe asthma and chronic bronchitis, and hearing her talk, probably had more breathing problems than Mom. She told her that yes, things are going to get worse before they get better, but they will get better. In fact, she even convinced my sister to get on the bandwagon! I'm charging 4 twists even as we speak, and none of them are for me! :D
Also, I don't know if you're aware of this, Luv, but his Stardusts are a proprietary device and he swears they out-perform the standard SDs. I've got one I''m planning on trying out as soon as my new juices are done quick-steeping. He's also coming out with a proprietary Vivi that I can't wait to try!

Waddya mean, proprietary device? They absolutely do perform better than your standard SD, I even ordered another one. That's awesome you got your sister on board too... a little family of Twists!!

The button on my blue Twist was sticking last night.. this worries me, because I'm finding that my plain ol Ego batteries just don't do it for me like the higher voltages on the Twists. They'll do in a pinch, but I'm thinking I'm going to have to get a couple more Twists.. just in case.

It's so funny how different our tastes are... Chrissy gets berry, I get banana... couldn't be more different! And my son got some ECB stuff that he said had no flavor at all. Weird!

Think I'll drag out some empty bottles today and do some mixing... heaven knows what I'll come up with!

Luv, sorry to hear about your twist. I keep several twists just for that reason (the same reason I keep at least 2 sets of each of my batteries). Tell you son not to throw those bottles out! The flavors may take some time to develop.
What has he done differently with his version of the Stardust? The big thing is that he has 5 wicks on each side, for a total of 10 wicks, which is more than the Stardust. The big difference with the Vivi's is that they're designed to use his new mophead heads as well as coming with them. He also showed me a chrome Vmax that I'm lusting after! :D It has a Ego connection recessed.
Speaking of Vivi's, check out Uncle Phil's review of the Vivi 2.5. He actually likes a clearomizer!

Chrissy, it'll even out over time possibly. :D
Seriously, most of the upfront cost is getting the devices you love. Unless you're a device ..... (which I admit proudly I am), you're hopefully set on that. The search for the perfect juice, I'm afraid, is eternal. :nun:
