Oh boy! A big juice order for me pre surgery was over $100, and I was ordering ALL the time! My juice orders are smaller now, I think the last ECB order was around $100, but I've been making the majority of my juices lately, which is a whole lot cheaper when you're not using nic! It really looks like my juice orders are going to be small going forward, and mostly for Iron Monkey since he still vapes nic :)

Luv & Chrissy - enjoy your vacations!!! They both sound like really lovely get aways :)
Mythus - the charms sound charming & adorable & make me want to place an order with Alice!

Our AC blew again Wednesday night - it lasted all of a day and a half before the transformer caught fire. Again. Our AC guy came out and fixed it Thursday AM (again), but at a minimum the compressor has to be replaced because it's seizing, which causes the transformer to blow/catch fire. There is a disagreement about who is responsible for replacing it, sooooo.... we're turning it off at night & when we leave the house/using it as little as possible in hopes that this transformer lasts until someone takes responsibility & gets the system fixed. Bah.

Nothing exciting to report - waiting for home PT to be approved, still not driving, went to Walmart with Iron Monkey today - as usual there were no electric carts available & this time I decided I should push a cart because I'm supposed to walk more. Ummmm... I'm paying for that decision! Oh well - these things happen :)

Happy vaping Friday!

Oh my....your AC troubles are just awful!!! Especially since you're pretty much stuck there...aren't you just about stir crazy by now???? I think that would be my biggest challenge. I'm sorry to hear that you are in pain now...but how great was it to get out for a while and into some really good AC??? I hear you guys are in for thunderstorms next week? Hopefully that means cooler temps??? At least that's what it means around here :D

Hi guys. Sorry I've been AWOL; it's been a crazy week! I've been playing catch-up all damn week and this is the first chance I've had to just relax. Whew!
Sorry you're having Kanger issues, Luv. I agree with Glen; anytime you unscrew your tip, make sure to tighten the head before screwing it back on. I've had the same issues with my Vivi as well; the head sometimes comes loose.
Cheeky, sorry to hear about your a/c issues. Aren't you a renter? If so, then why isn't it your landlord's responsibility to make sure it works?
I'm going to be spending today getting things around here back to normal: unpack all my china and stuff I packed up before the storm, hang my art back on the walls, etc. I"m also waiting on the mailman: supposedly I should be getting my order from ECB.
Y'all have a great day! Vape on!

Glen: You have a very good point in that! I am well on my way to determining which juices are my favs and once I do that, I figure my own orders will become less sporatic and will likely average $50.

Or, you can DIY like Cheeky and really start saving money on juice. I'm too busy/lazy to DIY right now, but sometime down the road I might get into it as well.

Glen.. I took the tip off and tightened the atty head in there and it seems to be performing much better. It fills with vapor though, is that normal? It doesn't seem to affect the vape any so it isn't a big deal. And it dissipates eventually.

I haven't had that issue with the T2, but I've seen it before with the CE4s on occasion. On the CE4, it was usually because I cross threaded the tip when I screwed it back in so it didn't make good contact with the silicone seal. Not only was there vapor in the chamber, but the hit would be more airy and the pull would be looser.

Look what I just bought!!! BullBoxMods.. Brett makes them. It's stone. Ain't she purdy!

Nice! Those tips are a bit too wide for my taste, but it sure does look sharp! :D

Q: Has anyone else had cartos that "wander" on their resistance? I'm using one right now and it went from 3.1 ohms steady under load for about half a tank of juice to varying between 2.3 and 2.6 ohms. I've had this happen once before with a Boge XL that I punched for a tank, and this time it's the Smok XL pre-punched that's doing it. Probably nothing that can be done about it except to change it out, but I was curious if anyone else has seen this happen.

Cheeky - I hope your A/C issues get resolved soon so you can rest in comfort. At least the forecast is showing the the lows will be dropping by a couple of degrees over the next week.

Reidus - yes, we're renting our condo, however the landlord is in foreclosure, so we've been paying the HOA directly to get him caught up on HOA fees & assessments, and no one wants to take responsibility for repairing the AC. We're planning on discussing with our attorney next week to see if there is any recourse. Worst case scenario we buy a window or portable unit until we find a new place - we're going to start a serious search for a new place to call home next week - the property management company STILL hasn't fixed the stairs I fell on (it's been almost a year), and it would be best for me to live on the ground floor rather than a 2nd story unit after the next surgery. Plus, it would be nice to have a yard for the dogs, so that's on the list of things we're looking for in a new place. But, the timing sucks - I'm still not able to do much, so most of the packing & moving will have to be done by Iron Monkey or friends.

Mythus - Hopefully the thunderstorms will cool things off for us, but it's Florida, so there's a good chance it'll just make the weather muggier. Yish. Honestly, we need AC here for most of the year because of the humidity. Oh well - my neck is going to be crazy skinny from all the sweating it's doing in the brace :D

Glen - I have had several cartos fluctuate in resistance - some of the swings have been as much as 2.0-2.9, which is insane! I'm not sure what causes it, but it sure is frustrating!

Regarding DIY - it is a good deal cheaper than buying premixed juice, but buying the flavorings can be an investment in itself. I've got a huge collection of flavorings at this point, a tiny bit of nic (for Iron Monkey), and still want more flavors to play with. There's always something to obsess over in vaping, isn't there :)

That picture reminds me of the house my parents had in Constantia, NY (north of Syracuse). I sincerely miss that place in the fall, when there was a slight chill in the air in the evening and the leaves turn colors. We would go apple picking in nearby orchards every fall and then go pick out pumpkins for Halloween at the pumpkin farm. Very good times!

Glad the resistance issue is not just me, and now I can cancel that lithium prescription! :D And yes, there is always something to obsess over, like awesome drip tips, tanks, new juice flavors, etc. My brother is really enjoying DIY as well and he keeps trying to get me to go in that direction, but I still like the simplicity of the pre-made stuff for now.

I hope your house hunting goes relatively easy and you find something you really like!

No more melanoma so that's a happy yay thing! :) We are both back to work and the wedding is happening in less then a month! Soon I'll be saying that my wife beat cancer instead of my fiance!

Outstanding! This is very good news indeed, and congratulations both for beating the disease and your upcoming nuptials! :toast:

Mac, that's wonderful news!!!! Congrats to your soon_to-be-wife and best wishes on the upcoming wedding.

The Maine woods reminds me a lot of home. We live very near the Adirondacks & ot looks very similar here. Except you can hear the waves crashing on the shore. And we saw a seal today in our little harbor, and a whole bunch of loons. Its just beautiful here. Pretty chilly today so Steve is building a fire in the woodstove to take the chill off. And we have cable so yeah, the NFL is on here too:rolleyes:

Cheeky, I hope you find some air. I cant imagine being in Florida without air!! I also hope you find another domicile and soon.

I must go refresh my bloody Mary & fill my tank. Happy football day everyone!

Heyya!

Mac: So glad for you good news!

Cheeky: It sounds like it is about time for a new place. It is terrible that your landlord is having a bad time of it and you guys are suffering along with them.

Luv: Yay for vacation! I hope yours is going great!

Glen: I'm not sure that I am ready for DIY as of yet. I still enjoy the simplicity of grabbing a bottle, shaking and pouring it into the device and calling it good.

All: Thanks for the happy vacation wishes....and it was great. Short...but great! We went to the museum to see the King Tut exhibit. Then we went to the zoo where surprisingly, most of the animals were awake and moving about. I played peekaboo with a monkey the size of my hand, which was entertaining! Our suite was pretty fantastic. It was two levels, the first level had a nice little livingroom, a large bedroom with vaulted ceilings and a ceiling fan. Then the second level stairs led up to a massive jacuzzi. Jake was obsessed with the 3 tvs. We got late checkout today so he could have a different football game on each tv and would wander from area to area to check in with the scores. I just laughed at him while I vaped peacefully on the couch.

Hi guys, I'm back. Great news: my fence is back up. Total cost; l/t $50! I rented a sawz-all and a hammer drill, cut off the broken post, screwed a flange into the concrete, slid in a new fence post and voila! Still need to replace a few slats but hey! I'm good. :D

Mac, that's great news! What a relief, I'm sure. I've never had a melanoma, thank God. I have had basal cell carcinoma and squamous carcinomas in the past.

Cheeky, that sucks! Suggestion while you find a window unit: a fan and a big tub of ice. Have the tub of ice between you and the fan. And I do mean big tub of ice; I don't know if you can still get ice in blocks, but if you can....

Luv, I'm jealous! It looks beautiful and cool! Which we most definitely aren't down here.

Chrissy, I don't do DIY either, per se. That said, I do have a big bottle of flavorless PG/VG (thanks Cheeky) that I use to tone down my juices that I bought with a higher nicotine level than I can tolerate now. And I will combine juices. Example: I take my Divine Cheesecake, and add a bit of Orange Cream and Dragon's tears. Result? Orange strawberry cheesecake! Yummy!

Just placed my first juice order with Mt. Olympus. Went with their sampler: got Mango Tango, Chocolate-covered strawberry, Vanilla cupcake (got to see if it's as good as ECB's), Azura's Peach, Butterscoth Blondie and Irish Cream liquer. I also ordered 2 more Kangers and a few replacement heads and a 510/510 adapter to hopefully fix my LT problem. Oh and I got 2 free bottles of juice as well: Grandma's Irish coffee and Caramel Cappuccino.

Speaking of juices, got my ECB order in on Saturday. Thank God! I finally have Tears again! I also got a big bottle of Cheeky's berry shortcake (it really is better than Ms. T's) some more Dragon's Kiss (goes so well with Hershey's) and a sampler of Vanilla Cupcake (hence the Mt. Olympus order choice).

School's crazy atm; I sent out 25 invitations to firms to come and interview our students on campus, with several more to go as soon as I can get contact info; 6 job postings I have to approve and get out to the students and 3 meetings in the next 2 days. This is in addition to class!

Speaking of which, gotta run! Y'all have a great day! Vape on!

Hi guys. Love reading everyones news. Reidus, I'm glad you're getting things back together. I'm hoping Cheeky can find some air somewhere. Its pretty chilly here in the Maine woods. It was actually pretty nice today. We poked around Bar Harbor today, had a Moose Breath beer from a local brewery. Also had a blueberry beer which was, surprisingly, not as disgusting as it sounds! Did a tour of Acadia National Park. Went to the top of Cadillac mountain, the highest summit this side of the Mississippi. No, we did not hike, we drove up (hey, we're old!) Its unbelievably beautiful here. I even had fish tacos for lunch (I hate seafood!) I tried hubbys lobster, didn't like it.

Tomorrow is Schoodic Penninsula & some beach combing. The boys found some nice sea glass on our beach this morning. I'm sure ill have a big bag of shells and rocks and stuff to tuck in my suitcase.

Have a great night guys. I'm gonna go have a Sam Adams Cherry Wheat and some HHV Dragons Fire. :p

Hi guys! Hope y'all are having a great AM!
The post office strikes again! I placed an order with Mt. Olympus on Monday and it went out that evening from Jeffersonville, IN. Well, according to UPSP.com it went to the sorting facility in Louisville, KY and is being sent for delivery in Jeffersonvill, IN!
