Happy Cyber Monday, lizards! Hope y'all had a great weekend and are taking advantage of the great sales going on.
I've made a couple of vaping purchases in the last few days. In celebration of my upcoming 6 month anniversary of freedom from cigarettes, I bought a Zmax, v2. For those of you who don't know, it's a variable voltage/variable wattage device, ala the Darwin. For those who aren't tech geeks, watts are the amount of heat the device puts out. It's a function of the voltage of the device and the resistance of the atomizer. So with a variable voltage device, every time you change atomizers (ie, clearos, carto tanks, etc) you have to adjust the voltage to get the desired amount of heat (watts). With a variable wattage device, you select the amount of heat, and it will read the resistance of the atomizer and adjust the voltage accordingly. Oh, and the Zmax is Ego compatible, so my T2s, stardusts, etc. will work w/o needing an adaptor.
My other purchase is the little sister of the zmax, the Vamos. It does everything the zmax does, but it's half the price and can be set up as a mini. It's for Tara as a Christmas present. I hope to get her back on the wagon, so to speak.
Related to that, Glen how do you like the T3s? Tara's got several T2s already, between hers and the ones Mom had. I'm planning on getting her a Vivi as part of the setup, but might consider the t3 instead.
Hey Glen have you tried a Vivi Nova and a Stardust? The reason I ask is I want a comparison between them and the T-3! Curious how they compare? Thanx
Mornin lizards. Hope y'all are having a great day!
Glen, I hope you're wrong about the T2s and the Zmax. I've already ordered Tara a Vamos (a zmax clone, kinda) and was planning on her using her T2s on them, as she's already familiar with them. Also, I was planning on using my Zmax to replace my twists as they die. We'll have to see. Hopefully, they're coming in today or tomorrow. Unlike my order from MOV, which is for some reason going to Oakland, CA!
Forman, I love my Vivi Nova. Probably even more than my T2s, but it's close. They're incredibly easy to clean, the heads are simple to change, and they leak even less than my T2s (I've had a problem with a couple of them leaking, as well as several of my Stardusts). The only time my Vivis leak is when the head's not on tight enough. Which is why when you refill it, make sure the head doesn't loosen when you unscrew the cap. The other reason I prefer the vivis is that I can use my Trippy tips on them.
Forman, I'm not sure what you mean by the isolator sleeve. The little plastic cap? If so, I have no idea. I don't try to actually rebuild the heads on my Vivi, I simply buy new heads.
Big vape-mail day for me today! I got both my Zmax and my Vamo in! Bad new is that Glen's right; the T2s won't fit on either device w/o an adaptor. Good news is that I don't mind the look of a T2 w/the adaptor on either device. Now the dilemma: I was originally planning on giving the Vamo to Tara for Christmas and keep the Zmax for myself. I'm still likely to, for the simple reason that the Vamo is much easier to operate: no menus to figure out. Tara would go mad trying to figure out how to raise and lower the wattage, not to mention how to change from wattage to voltage on the zmax, lol. That said, the Zmax is a much more polished looking device; the Vamo looks clunky and is huge with the sleeve on. Also, the + and - buttons rattle. The other disadvantage of the Vamo is that it doesn't come boxed; this means I'll have to find a box for it, unless I punt and get a gift bag.
