so much win.

holsters for smok X Cube 2 - fits like a glove, top of case is above mod lip, so that firing bar is protected (and no whoops-a-fire)... another exceptional job by @coffeebum!

Guys I cannot keep doing the felt lining for $7.00. I said when I started doing it I reserved the right to discontinue it.

So we can either phase it out entirely or raise the price to $20.00 per case for that option.
It is not the material cost, it is the time it takes.

Sooooo, what do you think? Quit offering felt, or raise the price?

I still have not ordered one of these yet, I keep buying more mods instead, some time in the future, I will want one for the billet box and the REO Grand. If you make one for the REO 14500 mini at some point, I will want one of those as well. I personally will pay the extra $20.00 for the felt lining, I would think it would be worth the extra money for the option, just leave it up to each customer? :)

I would want the felted bad enough that I would not hesitate to pay the $20.00.

I would definitely keep the option open. The durability of the construction material means the life of the holster will likely exceed most of the current mod finishings. Like one of the previous posters mentioned I've watched Kydex take the bluing off a couple pistols. Besides, if someone is going to pay for a premium holster chances are 20 bucks don't mean squat. Ok from what you guys posted here and the feedback I have privately from a few more customers, the felt stays as an option.
The price has increased to $20.00 for the lining. On mods with it available, a vinyl wrap instead of the felt is a great alternative.

Hey the felt is pretty good, but it is not as durable as I would like. Even with the best adhesive I can get the lip will roll back a little with wear.
It is washable, so if you spill some juice inside or something you can rinse it out with no issues.

I know all this from the testing I have done, and I will post pics of this when I get a chance.

The responses here are really appreciated. Thanks guys for the feedback!

I would assume mods like the Vaporshark DNA200, with its rubber coating would not work well with a felt liner anyway, too much friction perhaps? Let us know if you ever get a mold for that model.
The Sigelei 150w TC has a rubberized coating that worked well in the felt, have not had a VS DNA 200 through here yet.

If the finish is a major concern to your customers I figure they can mitigate the wear fairly simply. Either order the felt from you or just buy some inexpensive vinyl wraps for those devices that do not warrant the cost. That's exactly what I'll be doing on my recent order from you. When I buy the next one from you it will be for a $200+ mod and I won't hesitate to spend the $20 for the felt.
