anyone else have vape gear, batteries, or juice ordered from companies in china and have received shipping notices but find that it's stuck in Hong Kong for weeks to a month? I know a hand full of people this is happening to, me included. I have an item (not juice or batteries) that's been stuck in hong kong since the 2nd of this month.

all it states is "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment"

What's the real deal here? some say it's a juice crack down, some say it's due to batteries, others say it's because they just came off a holiday and are busy. I've never seen it this slow for so many people before.

It is NOT the Items you have ordered, the Company you ordered from, or any Deliberate Delays on the part of Customs. It is longer Processing time in order for PROPER export inspections to be Preformed to Stop illegal Trade/shipping violations.

Just bare with it or order from Local suppliers until things settle down.................again.

Unfortunately we all want it both ways.
Comply with World Trade expectations
Ship my stuff NOW :D

This will not go on forever. There are probably more parcels come in to HK on a daily basis than can be x-rayed and inspected. Should it continue much longer I hope there are warehouses that they can lease. Shipping time will turn from weeks into months. Like the USPS, HK Post is a government operation. In neither ones case is "customer satisfaction" in their list of top priorities. Probably not in the top 10.

I would guess that China is one of the largest, if not the largest, manufacturer of lipo batteries. How are they supposed to get small quantities out of China, container ship for a pack of 10 batteries? I predict in the near future a "mass release" of parcels to different world destinations.

I ordered a chi-you clone a week ago but it said right on the sight right away expected ship time sept 16th for that item
I also did not order batteries
I am not concerned at this point

I never expect anything from china in less then 3 weeks if its more then 4 I would be concerned though
but at the same time I would not order batteries and have no desire for china eliquide

They may be focusing on certain things but other stuff is probably getting caught up as well.
I have some silicone button coasters coming from China that I have been waiting for since near the end of August

I ordered something over a month ago and it's still not here.... part of it was they ran out of stock when I ordered (even though when I placed the order it said it was in stock), the other half of it is the shipping hold up.

I guess x-raying every single package slows things down quite a big... I just hope they don't have to open my package for whatever reason. I'm sure they could care less about dropping it or packaging it back up correctly after the fact.

About 4 months ago I ordered some drip tips from fasttech and got them in like 10 days... a few orders like that. Since then it's been getting longer and longer for every order I place. The price for wanting a good deal. I pick up a lot of high end devices, but you always need some cheap china beaters in the collection. And china has been making some real nice grand vapor, fatty, and MFlux style tips lately. Much better paying 2 bucks for a dope DT then the 25 bucks high end makers want.... although I do own some expensive US and phillipino made DT's.

I am WAY too impatient to deal with all that mess. I stopped ordering from fasttech altogether. I'm willing to pay the extra few bucks to get my new toys from a US vendor and not have to wait weeks for my stuff. I figure if my budget is so tight that an extra ten spot puts it out of reach, I probably shouldn't be buying it to begin with.

So what happens if they catch your battery order from Fasttech? Do you still get them? Do they go on a slow boat?
Oh they are all on a slow boat from China

Due to new regulations...they are all sitting in a HUGE pile getting x-rayed...which means it will be weeks before they are even PUT on that slow boat from China
