VAPE ON IT! walmart...

So, last night I went to[FONT=arial, sans-serif][/FONT]walmart because I needed a few things.. I also OC (open carry a gun)

I was vaping away on my LavaTube and someone looked at me and said:
"OH MY GOD, ARE YOU SMOKING INSIDE?"

Being me I said...
"Nope I'm having a disco party and it needed some fog"

the look was priceless she was about 20ish. this look -->

she said:
"haha that's fuuny, so you have a gun and you are having a disco party?"

I said:
"Indeed I do have a gun and I open carry and I vape because it's my right"

She said:
"awwwsome! does it work? I have been trying to stop smoking"

I said:
"It does.."(then I stated to talk about ECF and talking about mods and a starter like a e-go also told her don't buy one at a gas station)

What a day

I vape anywhere anytime, it's MY right I hope the big guys don't take away.

It's private property, they can set and enforce any rules they like (as long as they don't discriminate against a legally protected class).

If WalMart wanted to deny you entry because you were wearing a blue shirt they would be perfectly within their rights to do so. If you then decided to "stand up for your rights" and barged in anyway, they could even have you arrested and jailed for trespassing.

I figured you'd have a bigger issue with the gun than with the vaping. Before I got my concealed carry permit I would open carry. Went into a Wal-Mart and they asked me to keep the gun in the car or leave. I said, "No problem" and never went back. I won't shop there anymore.

Most people either don't care or just don't notice... I've OCed in that Wal-Mart several times before and never had an issue.

By that I mean...Not the act of vaping but how we act when we are vaping
in public, often draws attention to us. I watch people who vape in public and
MANY act differently than the rest of the crowd in the store. Different???
YES, Many who vape in public are CONSTANTLY looking around and making
eye contact with other shoppers to see the reactions of those around them.

This constant focus on others in the store "sticks out in the crowd" and
in of itself...draws attention to us. If WE see someone in a store that seems
to be self-conscious of everyone around them...I'm thinking possible shoplifter?
Or that person is acting a little strange.

When I go shopping...I'm vaping...However, I am AWARE I should NOT act
any different than if I wasn't vaping.

Very astute! Don't assume you're going to have trouble by looking for it and you are much less likely to attract it. If someone does tell you it's not allowed there's not much you can do if they don't accept your explanation. Better not to make a fuss, you don't have to go there again, unless it's your job and that's a whole 'nother situation. Better to show that you are a reasonable person who is doing something to improve your health.

I guess you haven't figured it out but "there's no reason" to do a lot of things, including smoking or vaping.
If that's a valid reason to you you'd better be prepared to do whatever the majority du jour tells you do to.

You would be well within your rights to do so, just as I would be in avoiding your store.

OH, But if someone came into your business to rob you and was pointing a gun at you I am thinking you would be thankful that someone who had liscense had a gun to protect you !! Or not....

People with ill intentions don't tend to open carry.
I bet if you owned a business and got held up then you would be wishing the guy behind the robber was carrying.

im not saying that people that open carry have bad intentions but i would be concerned about the safety of my customers and if something some how managed to happen then i would feel responsible also i can totally understand a cashier carrying a gun behind the counter because theirs no real chance of something happening
