Well when I first got into vaping a 2 years ago I easily dropped a grand in 7 months. I still did not touch what I was spending on smokes. Heck since i had moved back home to help my mother care for my grandmother in the last few years of her life i never was low on funds without smoking even with the vaping expense.

Now I've dropped a few hundred and have some ground to make up, but I'm also buying my first VV mods and the like so I won't be seeing this expense repeating often, though now that I'm back in an apartment I'm often low on funds lol.

When I quit smoking last December I could get a carton of my brand for $22.

Am I saving money? Probably not, and I'm not going to do the math. I did it for health reasons and for that alone, if I can be (more) healthy and live a better quality of life then I dont give a damn if I'm spending a few extra bucks to get my nicotine.

I think thats the attitude we should all have lol.

I was going to lock up my credit card then I realized I had the number memorized xD
Online shopping is the devil lol

I HOPE I'll finally get to the point where I have EVERYTHING I could conceivably need and then stop buying stuff. I've been good lately, just buying replacement vivi nova heads and DIY supplies.
Of course now I want to try new flavors xD
BUT I am not going to buy any new eliquids in the meantime, so that's a plus.

I'm glad I am beyond broke, my wish list is around $200, liquids not included. I have actually been seriously considering selling my only working motorcycle to get what I think I need before it's all gone. I can always buy another motorcycle...

Is there a support group for people like me? I need help.

edit: Cherrycakes, you seem pretty frackin cool, but a thousand posts a month? You must work at home...I am green with envy, and poor lighting.

I keep telling myself that I'll eventually stop spending so much money when I finally get the set-up I'm 100% happy with. Being as hard to please as I am, it could be a while, but really...what else would I spend my money on?

A shave and a new hat? :p

JK. If you stay under your old cigarette budget, you are doing better than you were. If you have FU money, do whatever the F you want to. Just don't insult my dog and I won't judge

I was thinking about this last night, going over funds in my head. If I figured in only cigarettes, then no, I'd be in the hole savings wise. But when I figure in everything else, I'm on the plus side.
You see...I didn't like smoking and was actually embarrassed to go buy cigs and just cigs. I did it anyway but mostly I'd buy other things as well. A bottle of soda and/or a cappuccino and usually a few lottery tickets. I must have spent on average $15-$20 a day doing that. And that's where my savings started to add up. I don't buy that crap anymore, I go to the ATM much, much less, so when I figure that in as well, I'm slightly ahead of the game.

I like in Lake County, so it's like $5-6 a pack. We didn't get the last tax increase Chicago did. So, I am definately spending more now. However, I did buy a Provari and a REO, which will not need to be replaced in a few months, unlike some of the other less expensive mods. Setting up to DIY takes a bit of investment. And a bit of stockpiling just in case the FDA is not nice to us. And RBAs stuff on top of it all. Eventually though, it will all even out, and I won't be spending as much. Then there's the intangible benefits of not smoking anymore. So, I still think it's all worth it in the end.

I see so many people on here saying things like:

"I quit for health and to save money but now I'm wasting more money on vape supplies"

I started to think about this, because now whenever I have extra cash I'm either spending it online or putting it away for Vape Bash...

But then I did some REAL thinking. I live in Chicago, I smoked a pack a day, if not more. In Chi, with taxes, Im lucky if I get a pack for under 11 dollars. (Before I started rolling, which didn't last long until I met vaping)

Thats 11 dollars a day right there. If I add all the days I've been vaping up, multiply that by 11, its a huge number, and way more than I've spent on vaping supplies. If I really wanted to I could grant myself 11 dollars a day to save for vape equipment and I'd have way more than I currently do in terms of vaping supplies. So most of this "extra cash" I find comes from me not buying analogs anyway.

I know some of you spent way less on cigs than I did, being in other areas, but I think it would be beneficial if you actually map out the amount you spent on analogs so you don't beat yourself up as much about buying that new battery or set of juices.
I also spent on average 11 dollars a day on 2 packs of analogs. Ever since I have started vaping my savings have not only been monetary. I feel exponentially better for every single day that I do not smoke. That to me is priceless and well worth the money I have invested.:vapor:
