if you listen to what nick says, he said the tax alone is over $2,000 per gallon + 10.25% sales tax. he said that was the tax alone, not the total cost. you would have to add the tax to the cost of the product.

its absurd when the government can manipulate prices that much. prohibition through taxation, that's all it is.

It's been a while since I bought eliquid from any B&M here in Illinois. If I remember correctly most of the premade stuff before a vaping tax was applied was going for around $20/30ml, then the City of Chicago and Cook County both imposed taxes per ml. It's been so long that I forget what the exact tax was but it is around $0.50/ml combined, so it's a $15 tax on 30ml. That is exactly a $2,000 tax per gallon.

For most of my orders I do not use a credit card or address based in Chicago. I ship it to my folks house in case they may one day poll the suppliers for purchase lists. I would not be on that list.

so i have a 37 year supply of nic, what exactly should i focus on yet. i would assume a large order of mods, perhaps RX200's. i need products that are known solid performers, im past experimenting. i need to buy products that will work for a long time if i can no longer buy in the worst case. are supplies going to be running low on anything just because people are running scared now. are things going to run dry well before aug 2018?

Start at the beginning of this forum thread and read it. There are hundreds of tips from hundreds of ECF folks on all areas of vaping. That's number one.

What mod and toppers you buy are going to be a personal decision. If you read the forum thread I bought from several vendors but primarily Wismec and Sigelei. There are problems with both. The Wismec will eventually need to have the 510 adapter replaced and you need to order the parts now from Fatdaddy and Varitube so that if in 5yrs you start to use it and something goes wrong you can fix it. I order spare parts for every RX200S I buy. The Sigelei 213's do not do TC properly, but they are really small and work great for wattage mode up to 150W.

i like the RX200 but i also like two battery mods. smaller form factor but still kickin battery life.

im not going to stock up on batteries, PG, VG, wick, or cotton at this point. i dont think they can mess with all of that stuff.

I think you are extremely safe as far as batteries/rayon/cotton/pg/vg/flavors right now and I do not see how they can crack down on those items.

Having bought the nic, I'd say buy some mods and rta/rda/tanks/mods.

rx2/3 is an option but they were released very close to the 8/8 deadline so may have been rushed out a bit and 1 of 3 that I ordered did not work in dual battery mode and had to be sent back. Other than that I love the form factor of it in dual battery mode. I will likely be ordering more of them regardless but all will get tested in both battery modes asap.

we have a RX200 and i was never really sure how the batteries are wired. is it in series or parallel. my wife only gets about a day out of hers, the battery life really isnt any better then my kanger dripbox and that's two batteries. we have had the unit over a year and its been rock solid. it even got soaked once, once it dried out it was back in business. i think dollar for dollar its one of the best mods out there. i had an eleaf mod not that long ago and i would not buy another. it performed well but the 510 connection came loose and the wire broke. it was a two battery mod. i think the RX200 is a great bet.

Just testing my RX200S mods. They are beauties! I got one heck of a buzz off of a 130W vape! :thumb:

it is in series. I can't comment on battery life since I rotate between 2 triple, 1 dual, and 1 single battery mod when at home and have a handful of single battery mods with less leak prone (and less of juice hog) tanks on them for taking on the run

And don't forget at least a few spare parts where they apply...

brings me to a question, what is a good tank that has a quality RBA section that has readily available spare parts? i was looking at the protank 4 but i had a difficult time locating spare glass parts. i have an original kanger sub ohm tank, the big one. the tank is still serviceable but i cannot find a replacement glass. the glass finally broke on it. i also seemed to have misplaced the RBA section, can i buy those?

check fasttech. they have tons of subtank parts and you might be able to just go with a bell cap to replace the whole upper portion, I know they have them for the subtank mini and I am planning to order 5 or 10 of them to go with the 2 authentic and 2 clone STMs I have in my stash.

I cannot answer whether or not spare parts are available for a specific tank but I'd check FT or retail websites for spare parts kits. If you are stocking for the vapocalypse always buy in multiples of three and four items with spare parts from now on so that whatever you buy can last out 3 to 5 years with no problems. This applies to you more so than most folks on ECF because you are so young and looking at a 40yr window.

If you cannot find anything appropriate you might ask in the rebuilds section of ECF. Somebody might have a clue on where to order the parts.
