Thanks

Transcribing his conclusions (16:32 onwards)
  1. The 510 so far appears solid and he's had no problems
  2. He had to tighten the ring around the fire button a little, but once tightened the buttons feel much more solid and clickier on the v2. No other problems with buttons.
  3. The magnets on the battery door so far have not popped off, even after slamming the door a lot
  4. The connector on the battery is now female
  5. The battery is very tight and he doesn't like that, and he doesn't recommend taking the battery in and out a lot as it's super tight and "might wear down the wires"
  6. The paint job on the white/black version is "kind of a step down"
    1. It looks a lot better, he likes the high gloss finish
    2. But it's not as durable as the red/black one which was "kind of anodized"

Here's another anomaly perhaps someone can provide some insight to. While charging through my USB port on my PC I usually see it charging at or below .5A, But twice now I've seen it charging at close to 1A, (.986A and .956A) once when it showed 100% charged and the other time it was at 98% charged. No idea why it would pull 1A with a full charge but it was. Same cable, USB port nothing changed but both times I seen this I disconnected the device and reconnected it, and it went back to charging at around .5A or under. Not sure why or what is responsible for this but it does concern me a bit when things randomly change like this. It does't matter to me if it's charging at 1A through my wall charger but when it's going through my PC USB it does.

Are you on the Evolv Early Adopters forum, Vlad? In my view issues such as this are almost certainly going to be within the DNA 200 board itself. I can't think how the VapeCige could influence them, as it just exposes the DNA's own USB port to the outside.

Unless it's a symptom of further battery issues. But even if so, it's still the DNA that's in charge (no pun intended.) So I'd post it on the Evolv forum if you haven't already.

I go out there and read it time to time but it's kind of a black hole from what I can tell, those in the know appear to not have much time for the forum so I haven't posted there.

I try to post as little as possible there also for some what the same reason, not going to say though.

(Though now I've waited I am of course glad to be getting the much improved v2 over the spit-and-sawdust v1)

Nothing wrong with spit-and-sawdust, some of the better bars we had growing up we were lucky if they had sawdust on the floor, the other establishments just threw beer cases on the floor for spittoons and if the spitter missed well you know what you were walking in. :)

Speaking of which, whatever happened to the "Pensioner" and the "7th Alphabet Letter Practitioner" around here? This sub-forum is a much more relaxed place without them.

I have had this idea to cancel my order for the Hotcig with FT and BTbox with GB and just buy another Opus, but their not in stock either. VS would be another choice but same wait.

VapeNW has the black Hcigar VT200 units in stock, $169.

Haha. The latter has "moved on". Somewhat forcibly ;) The former popped up for one post in a Yihi thread - obviously - but that was indeed the first post I'd seen in a long while. Perhaps he grazes now only in his true natural habitat, the 200 thread.

I'm not sure about the one but the other pops in now and again, I'm OK with that one.
