Considering I never used an RDA/RDTA, and people say that the flavor is most intense on an RDA compared to other atomizers, can I expect RDA flavor on this RDTA? Because this atty is basically an RDA with a 2ml tank below it...

Short answer is...no. "RDTA" is a really bad name, in my opinion, for these style tanks. It's an RTA, for all intents and purposes....

It is kind of hard to argue that with all these 2 ml tanks around, I mean, is the difference just that you can drip into it through the cap, or is the difference that it is outfitted with a squonk pin and you can oversquonk without (as much penalty) and also if it's a BF mod, wouldn't it make it awful hard to squonk, meaning one would need more pressure or less or what.

All very confusing. I had my eye on the Vapefly galaxy RDTA but now I don't know if it's the best or the worst of all types of rebuildables, combined.

So, clearly, I'm going to have to get one to figure this all out.

This is better than the av24 imo, especially since there's no condensation weeping from a press fit afc (both my Av24 had that).

The galaxy rdta has no leaking as long as the two wick holes are fully filled (rayon wick for me), no problem laying on its side.

I just ordered a second one, for all of $15. I used the aliexpress app, with a $4 coupon available on the app. Being ae, I used a temporary cc number, and know it may take time to arrive, but the price is worth it. The ae galaxy is actually sold via Heaven Gifts (but at 1/3 the price of buying from the HG site direct, and free shipping).

It's the best RBA that I own... It's also the first and only RBA that I've bought. ;) :D Haha! I spent a lot of time thinking about it before my purchase and it is the only RBA that really got me excited. It's smartly designed so that it's easy to use... like... little ledges to help trap your wire, guide to help position your coil, fill valve (quick with no flooding), lots of space on the deck, customizable air flow to the coil without swapping parts, bottom filling, etc.

In Pbusardo's Youtube video, he like it but commented that the raised portion of the top cap might create turbulence. This was just a guess and he did not experience air turbulence when using it. He likes the uninterrupted bell shape of the Ares (does he make money off of Ares sales? ;) ). I think he completely overlooked the real reason for it. I think the purpose is to trap condensation. And it works well for that purpose. Another smart feature.

So got mine up and running :)

Build deck is easy to install coil, but 1st install, the deck screws cut threw the legs, admit I did crank down on the screws, as like make sure solid connection, did 2nd coil and didn’t tighten as much and no problems.

Wicking also easy, just cut and stuff in holes and good to go.

I am using it in squonk mode, which is why I bought this RDTA, do wish they had a way to squonk in it, without it sucking the juice back into the bottle, takes me 2/3 squonk to get it filled up.

I took out the side airflow screws, and got it on both 2nd biggest holes on the top cap, so got it nearly wide open, and still a pretty tight draw, but just right for me.

Flavor is very good as I expected from the galaxies line, is it a game changer? No, but don’t regret spending money on it, I like the idea of squonking, but didn’t like not knowing when to squonk, and this attire eliminates that problem :)

    Aww, I paid too much

Me to...but its only a few bucks and its worth it, so I don't loose sleep.
I bought a RDA at Fasttech a week ago, and then asked them to cancel and give me a gift certificate. They did that, so a few days later I bought another. With the gift certificate I only paid $5 for it....then I convinced myself I got a bargain, so i'm a happy camper now...

I went ahead and ordered another. I figure that it's more practical to buy another then to buy replacement o'rings and drip tips. Two Vapefly drip tips cost almost half the sale price of the full kit. Haven't seen the glass or o'rings available. Never ordered from China before. Hope it doesn't take forever to get here --haha!

I got some 30 AWG 316L this weekend so that my cool mint stays cool! Can't stand warm mint--Yuck! (Just my opinion.) I was never a menthol smoker but when vaping I like to substitute the cooling effect of mint or menthol in place of throat hit.

Seems to be pretty versatile. If you want cool or warm and loose or tight, you can build and adjust accordingly.

There are a couple of comments on Fasttech indicating that the airflow screws don’t stay where they are set.

Side Air Screws Don’t Stay In Place: FastTech Forums

Any of you experiencing that? If I get one, I’ll probably want to want to open them up a bit.

I haven't noticed that. I have mine one full turn on each. I set it once and have taken it apart many times to wash and rebuild since I'm trying out different coils. They still appear to be in the same spot. But I don't wave my arms wildly around when I vape. ;)

My only real criticism of this RBA is that the deck is plated. I would prefer bare stainless steel.
