Yeah cactus, you need to rectify that situation
More Leon Russell
Now the day is gone and I sit alone and think of you, girl
What can I do without you in my life?
I guess that our guessing game just had to end that way
The hardest one to lose of all the games we played
But the time is past for living in a dream world
Lying to myself can't make that scene
Of wondering if you love me or just making a fool of me
Well I hope you understand I just had to go back to the island
[Chorus:]
And watch the sun go down (sit and watch the sun go down)
Hear the sea roll in (listen to the sea roll in)
But I'll be thinking of you (yes, and I'll be thinking of you)
And how it might have been (thinking how it might have been)
Hear the night birds cry (listen to the night birds cry)
Watch the sunset die (sit and watch the sunset die)
Well I hope you understand I just had to go back to the island
Well all the fun has died, It's raining in my heart
I know down in my soul I'm really gonna miss you
But it had to end this way with all the games we played
Well I hope you understand I just had to go back to the island
[Chorus 2x]
Not Leon, but I've always liked this song.
Some more great tunes Krusty and adl (the last one "Embedding disabled...") - still listened offline course... sort of begs the question I've asked of others in the past... what do you find the most appealing when you choose to listen to a song? For me, I suppose it's more about hearing a song that gels with my state at the moment... I generally do not find myself interested in lyrics rather than the "feel" of the song (probably why I like so many different genres). How do you all take music? Is it the "feel", the lyrics, the technical aspects, reminiscing, all-of-the-above, etc?
You all tend to play pleasing music w/ great lyrics (I've been following along where possible - FantWriter's Ukrainian selections aside) and I can appreciate the songs in their entirety... but what makes a song a keeper in your eyes (or ears?
)
And BTW... hello adl - we haven't met as far as I'm aware. Thanks for the songs and good to see you![]()
Cool video and pic SD. I passed on a couple cross-country drives when I was a kid - my brother went but I couldn't stand the thought of being cooped up in a car for the summer. In hindsight I sort of wish I had gone. For some years I liked road tripping but never to the extent of going coast to coast... nowadays I hate driving for more than eight hours at a stretch. I suppose driving used to be more leisurely and there was less traffic...
