After our short discussion last night about your mods, Permafrying. I ended up buying an innokin MVP2 as well!! Thank you for being such an enabler, even when you're not trying to be. After I decided to investigate MVP2 vs. SVD for you, I ended up buying one for myself! Although I had to pay more than what you paid over at FT but that's because I have the attention span of a goldfish (and the memory of one, too) so I wanted to get the vapemail faster.

Little did I know, that expensive Mech I told you folks I ordered on Friday night -- showed up on my doorstep TODAY (Monday) and I'm all the way on the other end of this country! Pictures will be forthcoming once I stop my hands from shaking. This is as excited as one can be legally, folks!

I love your amazing magical adventures yardbird! I am now always looking forward to see what you will bring next, thanks!

Like a bit of dross, flung by a whirlwind, a strange blue avian is thrown into your midst! He topples, awkwardly downward, and just as you think he will be dashed, to his destruction, on the floor of this thread a plain, brown wooden perch, with a bevel cut on 1/4 of the "T" appears and he lands on it perfectly. It is YardByrd! The platinum YB medallion around his neck is pulsing alternate colors of brown and cobalt red. You hear a deep, smooth, male, Latin, voice coming from him as his magicked necklace translates his other Realmly communique:

"Hail, lauds, and greetings Oh conscious ones who yearn for rest! It is at the behest of your sister, known to me as Reddhott booopy, that I sojourn to your Realm, again, this morning. Peace be with you all.

I come, again, this morning, to offer my meagre, humble, and introspective thoughts for your delight...I hope! :) The night is full blown and in mid cycle where I am. The peaceful darkness, that engulfs the land, has given small animals their way to rest. I yearn, for you all, for a respite of delight for you. A moment of Peace. An instant of resolve, a pause for refreshment, and a rejuvenating experience. These things, generally associated with sleep, are not out of the Realm of the conscious mind! They can be attained by the wakeful ones who stand watch over their slumbering counterparts. Those who stay up and watch...to some degree...must guard over all that they love. May God bless you all for your standing of the guard! Hold fast unto one realization: while others slumber, and are at ease, you are at the ready and watching over those you love. Take with you, one and all, my best wishes -as I have said- for Peace. Take too with you this quotation to give you food for thought, pause for reflection, and an opportunity to try to examine any, and all, advantages that accompany your discomfort.

I, for one, find this quotation to be revealing, thought provoking, and a reason to consider the re-examination of many other points of view, aside from the one expressed.

I will return, to flyby, hopefully to give you all some small creature comfort, as time, the Realms, and the Almighty allow. CAW!"

“The last refuge of the insomniac is a sense of superiority to the sleeping world.”
― Leonard Cohen

Hi OBG, I'm sure SD or Redd could speak to this better than I but from what I heard, she was taking this month for rest and relaxation at a remote location ... a cabin in the woods if I recall correctly.

As long as she's not sitting in a Diner eating some Onion Rings right before the screen goes black! :p

Isn't that gorgeous? Thank you, but I have to admit I'm a trippy tip snob.

Today was a long day, but a good one. I drove into Jax and took all of my mods for a collection contest... and you guys, I WON!!!!

Even though Pietro doesn't go out of his way to sell TT's, I respect him & Bert so much that it's only a matter of time (and $) before I get Trippy too! I'm so thrilled for you because free stuff is even better! Plus after te weekend you just endured, you deserve something good. Very cool, sis.

Hey RHP! How ya doing? Was reading some of yours and all sounds good and that you are just moding about!

Hey! Does anybody really know what time it is???

Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is? Whether you wear a sundial on your wrist, a faux Rohlexx (wink) a Timex can take a licking and keep on ticking!

As I was walking down the street one day
A man came up to me
And asked me what
The time was on my watch
Yeah and I said

Does anybody really know what time it is
Does anybody really care
If so I can't imagine why
We all have time enough to cry

When I was walking down the street one day
A pretty lady looked at me
And said her diamond watch has
Stopped cold dead
And I said

Does anybody really know what time it is
Does anybody really care
If so I can't imagine why
We all have time enough to cry

When I was walking down the street one day
Being pushed and shoved
By people
Tryin' to beat the clock woh oh
I just don't know
I don't know
I don't know woh
And I said yes I said

Does anybody really know what time it is
Does anybody really care
If so I can't imagine why
We all have time enough to die
Everybody's workin'
And I don't care'
About time
I don't care

SD, you always post the bestest music, thanks brother. I hope you have a sunny Tuesday Sundrinkr. Today was good (or bad) day and tomorrow will be better. I always tell myself that before bed ever since I lost my father to lung cancer. I dunno why, it just stuck in my head.

It's been 4 years and it still hurts. But it helps to share my hurt with folks like my fellow insomniacs because other people's weaknesses can be a source of strength. Even though I haven't broken my addiction (or dependency) to Nicotine, I'd like to believe he'd be proud to see me vaping.

I take it one day at a time. But every once in a while, I remember something I did when I was a child. Or something that was done to me, by my father, or my brother, or a cousin. Some injury. Some humiliation. And it seems like... it happened to another person, a century or two ago.

I'm not really sure if what I remember really took place at all. You can't build your life, relying on the perception of a little boy, or the echos of some memory. Nah. You got to let all that .... go. You gotta start, fresh. Every single day. You have got to start again.

Good Morning! Starting Off Where I Left Off, bet you're all excited!

Mama! mama!
Someone said they made some noise
[Lyrics from www.EasyLyrics.org]
The cops have shot some girls & boys
You'll sit home & drink all night
They looked too weird...it served
Them right
Mama! mama!
Someone said they made some noise
The cops have shot some girls & boys
You'll sit home & drink all night
They looked too weird...it served
Them right
Ever take a minute just to show a real
Emotion
In between the moisture cream & velvet
Facial lotion?
Ever tell your kids you're glad that
They can think?
Ever say you loved 'em? ever let 'em
Watch you drink?
Ever wonder why your daughter looked
So sad?
It's such a drag to have to love a plastic
Mom & dad
Mama! mama!
Your child was killed in the park today
Shot by the cops as she quietly lay
By the side of the creeps she knew...
They killed her too.

Concentration Moon
Over the camp in the valley
Concentration Moon
Wish I was back in the alley
With all of my friends,
Still running free:
Hair growing out
Every hole in me
AMERICAN WAY
How did it start?
Thousands of creeps
Killed in the park
AMERICAN WAY
[Lyrics from www.EasyLyrics.org]
Try and explain
Scab of a nation
Driven insane
Don't cry
Gotta go bye bye
SUDDENLY: DIE DIE
COP KILL A CREEP! pow pow pow

Gary Kellgren: Tomorrow I get to do another Frank Zappa creation . . . and the day after that . . . and the day after that . . . also at the same time I get to work with The Velvet Underground which is as ....ty a group as Frank Zappa's group

JCB: Hi, boys & girls, I'm Jimmy Carl Black, and I'm the Indian of the group

Concentration Moon
Over the camp in the valley
Concentration Moon
Wish I was back in the alley
With all of my friends,
Still running free:
Hair growing out
Every hole in me
AMERICAN WAY
Threatened by US
Drag a few creeps
Away in a bus
AMERICAN WAY
Prisoner: lock
SMASH EVERY CREEP
IN THE FACE WITH A ROCK

Don't cry
Gotta go bye bye
SUDDENLY: DIE DIE

One more, RIP Lou!

Studio album by The Velvet Underground & Nico

The Velvet Underground and Nico is the debut album by experimental rock band The Velvet Underground and vocal collaborator Nico. It was originally released in March 1967 by Verve Records, a subsidiary of MGM Records.

Recorded in 1966 during Andy Warhol's Exploding Plastic Inevitable multimedia event tour, The Velvet Underground and Nico would gain notoriety for its experimentalist performance sensibilities, as well as its focus on controversial subject matter in songs such as "......".

Though largely ignored upon its release, it has since become one of the most influential and critically lauded rock albums in history, appearing as #13 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time[1] as well as being added to the 2006 National Recording Registry by the Librarian of Congress.

The Velvet Underground and Nico is sometimes referred to as the "banana album" as it features a Warhol print of a banana on the cover. Early copies of the album invited the owner to "Peel slowly and see"; peeling back the banana skin revealed a flesh-colored banana underneath. A special machine was needed to manufacture these covers (one of the causes of the album's delayed release), but MGM paid for costs figuring that any ties to Warhol would boost sales of the album.[6][3]

On the 1996 CD reissue, the banana image is on the front cover while the image of the peeled banana is on the inside of the jewel case, beneath the CD itself.

Much of the album's sound was conceived by John Cale, who stressed the experimental qualities of the band. Cale, who was influenced greatly by his work with La Monte Young, John Cage and the early Fluxus movement, encouraged the use of alternative ways of producing sound in music. Cale thought his sensibilities meshed well with Lou Reed's, who was already experimenting with alternative tunings. For instance, Reed had "invented" the ostrich guitar tuning for a song he wrote called "The Ostrich" for the short-lived band The Primitives. Ostrich guitar tuning consists of all strings being tuned to the same note. The method was utilized on songs "Venus in Furs" and "All Tomorrow's Parties". Often, the guitars were also tuned down a whole step, which produced a lower, fuller sound that Cale called "sexy".

Lyrics: I'm waiting for my man
Twenty-six dollars in my hand
Up to Lexington, 125
Feel sick and dirty, more dead than alive
I'm waiting for my man

Hey, white boy, what you doin' uptown?
Hey, white boy, you chasin' our women around?
Oh pardon me sir, it springs from my mind
I'm just lookin' for a true, dear friend of mine
I'm waiting for my man

Here he comes, he's all dressed in black
[ Find more Lyrics at I'M WAITING FOR THE MAN Lyrics VELVET UNDERGROUND ]
New York shoes and a big straw hat
He's never early, he's always late
First thing you learn is you always gotta wait
I'm waiting for my man

Up to a Brownstone, up three flights of stairs
Everybody's been duped, but nobody cares
He's got the works, gives you sweet taste
Ah then you gotta split because
you got no time to waste
I'm waiting for my man

Baby don't you holler, darlin'
don't you bawl and shout
I'm feeling good, you know I'm gonna work it on out
I'm feeling good, I'm feeling oh so fine
Until tomorrow, but that's just some other time
I'm waiting for my man

Lyrics: Oh
Oooh yeah
Ah
Ziggy played guitar, jamming good with Weird and Gilly,
and the spiders from Mars. He played it left hand
But made it too far
Became the special man, then we were Ziggy's band

now Ziggy really sang, screwed up eyes and screwed down hairdo
Like some cat from Japan, aww he could lick 'em by smiling
He could leave 'em to hang
'came on so loaded man, well hung and snow white tan.

So where were the spiders, while the fly tried to break our balls
With just the beer light to guide us,
So we .....ed about his fans and should we crush his sweet hands?

Oh
Ooh oh

Ziggy played for time, jiving us that we were voodoo
The kid was just crass, he was the nazz
With God given ...
aww He took it all too far but boy could he play guitar

Making love with his ego Ziggy sucked up into his mind
Like a leper messiah
When the kids had killed the man I had to break up the band.

Oh yeah
Ooooooo
Ziggy playyyyed guitaarrrrrr

Have a little bit of a problem. I all my old heads are rebuilt and in tanks and I want to keep building... I already tore apart one old but working coil to rebuild it into an amazingly hitting 1.4 ohm that's making me a little dizzy and I can't justify rebuilding working coils. But on a good note my evod is hitting like a beast!
