Good Morning Dale, and Good Morning Insomniacs. I am still struck by an event that happened last night after I got home from school. My day had been long and I was really tired, but I still had a few errands to run before being "free". This was my fb post last night when I finally got home.
Tonight I dropped off dh and Babette and headed to Walmart to pick up my new tablet. While there I found a nice portfolio for it, a Patterson cat calendar, more candy canes for my rescue's candy bag sale, another big bag of candy, etc. Going through the line I heard the woman in front of me exclaim that she had forgotten kitten formula, but it was too late to run back as the line had filled up behind us. We got to talking kitten and squirrel rescue stuff and before I knew it she was ready to go, with bags of MY stuff. Oh no! The cashier had gotten engrossed in our conversation and rung up all my stuff on the belt and charged this poor woman for it. I know there was at least $60 dollars worth of goods there. Instead of ranting or turning back, and refusing to let me pay her, the woman gave me a quick hug and wished me a Merry Christmas. She left by the grocery entrance and I left through the home goods entrance a few moments later. When I got to my truck and started unloading I looked up into smiling eyes at the truck next to mine. Yep, we were parked right beside each other. Once again she refused to let me repay her. We gave each other a big Christmas hug and seeing the tears in my eyes she commented that God and his angels are everywhere, especially where we least expect them. I cried all the way home. Merry Christmas Angel, wherever you are.
I just wanted to share this with you this morning. May your day be blessed with the love and kindness of others and may YOU be the difference in someone's life today.
