Ok! I used to live and work on a ranch, only it was one that was bought by the school district, that used to be a ranch from the late 1800's and they use it as the outdoor lab school! All the old original buildings, barns, bunkhouses, etc; Loved it there for 9years. 6th graders go there thru the school year and learn about the history and outdoor ed. I was a site manager, till I retired and had to move out but still go back to visit and such! I'll have to put some pics together, it's quite an interesting place, very historic and on almost 600 acres

Oh -- that sounds like a fabulous job and a fabulous experience for the kids! I would love to see pics sometime....

Yes! It's the greatest thing I've ever done in my life, in a job anyway and it became a life style! I will get some pics together for everyone and you will be amazed and the history of the place is amazing and the lab school is in an area of all protected land called the Evans Ranch, which was started by Gov; Evans, the 2nd territorial Gov of Co, I believe on about 10,000 acres, and all of this is just 10 miles from the town of Evergreen

As much as I hate to do it.... I am off to do more cleaning. It sounds like that is all I ever do, but now that I have a chance I am stripping each room and cleaning from top to bottom. That takes time and this break is the only time I have to do it.
