GF just got home from school so I'll be off for awhile, but wanted to say thanks for bringing up Mask the other day... slow night/morning on the forum so I took it as a chance to give it a watch... real good and I can see why it's one of your favorites. I forgot how much I had forgot about the film and it certainly is "different" with a twenty-year older perspective on life Oh, and if anyone wants a bootleg link PM me

I admit this one is going to be a bit of a challenge and obviously not to everyone's taste . . .

Formula of Love (1984) opens with a Harlequinesque song and dance (I love it, but tastes vary).

It's in Russian, but subtitles are available by using closed captioning (the CC button next to the video's quality, size, etc. buttons) and selecting "Translate Captions" and then "English").



The movie itself is highly rated, a beautiful mixture of humor, art, and love. Even if you don't understand some of the symbolism, I hope you enjoy is as an offbeat romantic comedy.

One of my favorite scenes is when guests arrive. Their carriage needs to be fixed, so the host talks to his blacksmith:
Aleksei: How long will it take you?
Stepan: A day.
Aleksei: And two?
Stepan: Well, I can finish in two.
Aleksei: And five?
Stepan: If I try real hard, it can be five.
Aleksei: And ten?

Meant to say to everyone that pri is having computer problems and Redd too if you didn't already know! I heard Redds is almost all better and she should be back on soon but pri is still trying to get her's figured out and what is needed to fix her's and heard something about maybe needing a whole new hard drive and that doesn't sound good and will let you know more as I hear!
