No absolutely not. sleep is precious for the insomniac. I just wanted to say hi and I'm sure I will be around now that I know this is here. I also have some late night company on another thread I frequent. I really appreciate the offer, though. And the very warm welcome. Thank you and get your rest.

Saw them in the Florida theater in Gainesville it was Sept 21 1993. My girlfriend at the time lived there, I lived a couple hours away at FSU. The opening act was some no body from New Zealand called the Bats...we didn't care for them. Radiohead was next touring Honey, but playing songs they were writing for the Bends. I already loved the Honey CD...and even though I knew Tonya Donnelly from Muses and Breeders (I listened to most 4AD bands in HS), we went to see Radiohead. They were fantastic! I have seen them since also. I have a concert shirt around I'll snap a pic of for you sometime :D It was only the 4th show of that Belly tour.

Here are the songs they were playing at the time...
You
Prove Yourself
The Bends
Vegetable
Creep
Yes I Am
Stop Whispering
Banana Co.
Ripcord
Inside My Head
Anyone Can Play Guitar
Pop Is Dead
Thinking About You
Blow out
That is the set list from the Miami show 2 nights later.

Oh, I've been to three Radiohead shows, but I'll totally admit I was not one of the people who sorta "discovered" them. My friends did that for me with that one. But I did know them from Pablo Honey before The Bends came out. I was spazzing out for a moment because I thought you were saying you KNOW Tonya Donnelly:facepalm:! I don't sleep much, okay? Which band have you seen the greatest number of times? Or which three? While I'm asking...all of you sleepyheads and otherwise on this thread, how about you? Top three live acts you've seen?? Just curious, no need to answer a dirty thread-crasher:laugh:!

Wait...switching from what I just asked for a second:facepalm:. You mentioned "your bass player". You had a band, Nole??

High School and college, sure...you've seen some of my guitars. Nothing big at all. HAd a little 3 peice that played when I first moved to Cincy with some guys I worked with too.

Hi, mogium. I'm Becky (maybe you gathered that:facepalm:). Yeah, I agree about Rascal Flatts. I like them, even though that's not typically my type of music. I do not know Rob Zombie at all. But I love how different your two favorites are. The top three just by frequency for me are R.E.m., Spoon, and Hayden. They're the ones that I've traveled to other states to see, I guess. See, I love reading about live shows others have seen. I honestly do get this little vicarious thrill. There is NOTHING like a live show. Period.

Saw Green tour...I really liked earlier stuff by them...like from Murmur - Fables and Pagent. Most of those songs were the one's I first learned on guitar...along with early U2 and The Smiths. (And Zep etc)

Yeah, of course, now that I think of your guitars, I feel mighty dumb not just figuring that out, Nole. I've always thought there must be so few things that could rival the adrenaline of playing a live rock and roll show. For all that I get just in the audience...it has to be such an incredible experience up on the stage. It's fantastic you got to feel that!

Like anything when you are that young it's just "Don't F -up" and "I hope I don't break a string" later you just enjoy it and realize you are usually just background music for people in the bar with exception to some people and friends there to see you. It was never a big thing, it was fun for us to be out playing.
I do think you are always nervous at first. There is a rush with it, but I played small places. I think possibly Hypno is the guy you want to talk to about that stuff...he's a little more of a pro ;)
