Vaper's Lip?

Was watching a movie, pretty into it, wanted a vape so I grabbed my mod and had a vape. Well,I had just rebuilt my dripper,a twisted 28 ni200 w/10 wraps (so a big ol coil lol) and had been checking it as I vaped for hot spots or anything else not awesome. Apparently I didn't put the top cap back on after the last inspection, so when I grabbed my mod and took a vape, I was vaping my upper lip! Sizzling sound and all! I've got a perfect coil-sized mark on my lip right now lol. It's always nice to be reminded that I'm no genius lol. It doesn't hurt and is in no way a "real" injury.
Anybody else ever do this? Anybody willing to admit it or anything like it?

Hahaha, I have done this a couple time when I wasn't paying attention. Needless to say, I double and triple check now. When I did it, I was at 0.3 ohms at like 60 watts on an IPV3

I did it with a steel mesh genesis coil that i just dryburned.

I was testing the temp control on my mod the other day by firing a coil with dry cotton to see at what temp it scorched it. Stupidly I didn't realize it was still in wattage mode and when i fired it the cotton instantly burst into flames. No injuries and i blew it out straight away but it was quite a shock and served well as a reminder to always pay attention to what i'm doing.

Not quite the same as what happened to you but another example of distractions causing us to do stupid things.

Love my fishing, alway lots of shiny new things to buy and play with. Guess thats part of why I like vaping too they're pretty similar in that regard.

I haven't burnt my lips directly on the coil no, though I have had drip tips that get so hot they do seem to leave a little sore on my lower lip. I have done much worse things of course but with a coil the most I have done is burn my fingers a couple of times while building them and touching them too soon after a couple of test fires.

My Dad and I fished a lot when I was younger and when we would go to the tackle store he had to drag me out of there. I could spend hours just looking at all the different lures and rod/reel setups.
