To be honest, I'm not sure. At 4.8V and 2.0 ohms, you are vaping at 11.6 watts and 2.4 amps. That is quite a rapid drain on the battery, and a big strain on the button switch. So yes, it may fry the carto, or it might not. It might not vape at all if there is a safety cutoff on the switch, or it might just hasten the demise of the switch and/or the battery. Either way you are certainly pushing the envelope and putting a big strain on all components of the twist/carto. Not heard of any fires with ego-type batteries yet, but the VV egos have not been out very long yet.

When I first got the Twist I was vaping a 1.6Ω EMDCC (dual coil carto) at @4.0-4.2V..... and one can vape those cartos all day at that wattage. Out of stupdity curiousity, I cranked the Twist up to 4.8V and it ran well for about a minute - then fried. I would keep anything at or below 2.0Ω at the 4.2V level or below. I know from having a 5 volt box mod, 2.5-3.2Ω vapes well. I used a 3.0Ω joye atty most of the time - with good vapor and flavor.

2.4Ω at 4.8V is 9.6 Watts - I'd say that's a safe top end unless you want to buy cartos more often. And like Kurt says, it can be a strain on the batt as well. Some are willing to make that choice... I prefer a bit cooler vape myself.
