Vaping at the Washington Brewers Festival

This weekend is the Washington Brewers Festival. I go every year because it is in the state park that's literally right across the street from my house. I started vaping last January, so this was my first beerfest where I wasn't smoking. Despite vaping pretty much everywhere (and taunting the poor smokers stuck in their little corral!), I only had one guy ask me if that was "one of those things" while I was in line for some Wingman beer (brewers out of Tacoma). I showed of my Reo Mini, told him how I've been analog-free since January, and we even had a laugh when I told him I was smoking strawberry-kiwi

Edit: I should note that technically what I did was illegal. King County added e-cigs to the public smoking ban ("If a smoker sees you vaping, they'll want to light up and we can't have that."), so I should've only been vaping in the smoker's pen. Despite a large cop presence (they'll fill their yearly DUI quota from this ...), I was not hassled even once.

Did the same thing at the Philadelphia International Beer Expo a few weeks ago. Walked through the packed crowd and lines vaping my face off. Not one person asked me about it and nobody complained. Tons of security and not one said a thing. Had a great time. Love trying craft beers.

The King County ban is only indoors, and no penalty for the vaper, just the owner for not showing "due dillegence". Hopefully, we'll get that ban removed at some point in the future, anyway, perhaps modelled more like the Pierce county one (at least!)

Sounds like it was awesome glad you had a good time who knows maybe next year you will be allowed to vape there!!
