At my previous job we were not aloud to vape in the workplace. Most of the people who worked there really thought it was the same as smoking inside.
I've found that a lot of people do not like the idea of smoking. Since you "smoke" an e-cig, and it has the word "cigarette" in it it must be bad.
I just get so tired of people telling me what I can and cannot put in my own body.

Being a mechanic I vape whenever I want. Supervisors have encouraged it and other techs have jumped on board. Some stuck with it most still smoke regular cigs and ecigs. At least the local vape shop got some business out it lol. Having said all that I wouldn't vape in front of corporate or customers

One of the advantages of being a trucker is I am alone most of the time so I can vape all I want. I have had some issues in a couple of truck stops due to the "LOOKS LIKE SMOKING" thing but have prevailed in all but one case where I told the manager to stuff it and walked out without ordering a meal.`

I did have an issue last night in a bar where I was vaping a tobacco flavored juice and a few complained about the odor. I switched to a watermelon juice and everything was good. Just something to think about, it does have an odor.

I'm from Toronto, Canada and we have The Smoke-Free Ontario Act (SFOA). I asked our Human resource manager if I could Vape at work and I quoted this from the SFOA....The Smoke-Free Ontario Act and the City of Toronto Municipal Code does not regulate the use of electronic cigarettes, as these products do not contain tobacco. As such, restrictions respecting sale, promotion and use do not apply. I also pointed out that if allowed to vape indoors less time would be lost due to "smoke breaks".

I was given the green light and so far 5 more people vape indoors.

You can also point out this....Propylene glycol in e cigarettes might keep us healthy, says researchers

My company had a smoking area until a Vape bar opened locally, all of the employees i have sent to the shop have stopped smoking.
The boss was so happy with only 1 person left smoking in the company that he does not care if we Vape anywhere.. It makes for a funny site when a couple of the Mech/kick users are sitting around and taking.. Such a huge cloud of Vapor.
