I remember the first time I ever saw one in public was while walking through a hospital hallway and one of the doors was open and I had to do a double take because I thought somebody was smoking inside of the hospital.

I think that's why even the ones that look like real cigarettes will still have a green or blue light on the end. It makes it more immediately recognizable that it is not a cigarette.

Now I've never really understood why you'd want your e-cig to look like a real cig, but it seems that matters more to people that are first getting into it vs people that are already into the scene.

in reality i dont know how much money you will actually save. your location says u live in china, im korean myself and in korea i know cigarettes are around 2 - 3 USD per pack, a good starter setup equipment is around 100USD or so, i spent around 140 ish becausei bought a silver bullet from altsmoke.com $100 and then i bought a MAP tank from cloudsofvapor.com $30. + tax on both.

you could buy around 60 packs of cigarettes with this equipment alone, then you need to buy e juices. i vape a lot more than i used to smoke, i probably go through around 3ml of juice perday, this is aroudn $2 worth of juice per day, if a pack of cigarettes is 3 dollars, then 300 cents / 20 is 15cents. so my vape cost is = to 13 cigarettes.

so if you are living in asia where cigarettes are rediculously cheap, and smoke less than 13 cigarettes perday assuming that you vape as much as i do which is not difficult because vaping on a good PV with a good flavor of e juice is amazing, u will actually loose money.

if you smoke more than 13 cigarettes a day then u will slowly save money, if you smoke heavily like 2 packs a day or somthing, u will save 1.05 perday. so i guess around 4 months to make up the starting costs?

in the USA on the other hand cigarettes are double - triple the cost (california) at 6 dollars a pack, (30 cents per cigarette). so to match 2 dollars worth of 2 juice u need around 7 cigarettes. if you smoke 7 or less cigs perday before, you would loose money, say in the states your a pack a day smoker, you save 13x30= $3.90 perday. so it would take around a month and a week or so to make it pay for itself.

dont take this as fact. 3ml per day of vaping is fairly heavy vaping (my opinion). and cigarette costs differ vastly, i heard in new york a pack is like $10, where in that case if u were a pack a day smoker u'd make up the cost within weeks.

i believe there are e-cig stores in china, if u live there u should go and try some out and see how u like it, if it gives u that relief satisfying feeling that a cig gives you, u might as well quit because eventually u wil get your money back as long as u dont go back to normal smoking, and its probably healthier for you to vape than to smoke, although i am not sure of this.

(NOTE: there maybe price disparity due to the fact that i have NO IDEA how much a quality e-cig costs in China, and how much e-juice costs in China. If these are significantly cheaper for equal satisfying quality, the cost of vaping may become significantly cheaper than the cost of smoking.)

I am NOT smoking. I will not hide in secret like they have forced the smokers to do in most places. I usually use a box mod with some sort of strange looking tank/atomizer on top. If I go into a public place, I will display it prominently, and anyone who sees the device usually has no questions about it. Went out to eat after church yesterday, since my wife is asthmatic she requests the no smoking section....no problem. I set it right out on the table between hits, let the waitress and owner see it, and not one person gets concerned. If you look at me, I will put it in my mouth and let-er-rip. I have never had any problem in any establishment whatsoever. I vape in Wal-Mart, grocery store, in front of the church building, etc.

I am not a smoker, I am an ex-smoker. I will not cower and hide with those who have been cast out, and I will not stand for being treated as such.

LOL....what type of PV are you guys using to make you think someone would think you were smoking weed?

There are one-hitters out there that are designed to look like cigarettes - colored white with a beige "filter". Those look very much like some of the mini PV's that are specifically designed to mimic cigarettes.

Ahem, don't ask how I know this...

Where can you vape?

Simple, realize that just about everywhere you go, is private property, usually not public property.

So the answer is simple, everywhere that the proprietors of the property say it is ok to

That is where you come in, with a modicum of social skills, and helping to educate people about e-cigs you can do a lot yourself to expand where they can be used.

Every Bar I have been too in the last 5 months is now ok with E-Cigs, a few restaurants, 1 small airport ( not on the airplane ) and one major league Ball Club stadium now has an official policy... because someone ( in this case me ) took the time to talk to them about it.

Things to remember, respect is often responded to with respect, and you catch more flies with honey than vinegar, and most of all, the quickest way to lose your rights, is to DEMAND your rights, on other peoples property.

I vape just about every where in stores and resteraunts I just hold the vapor in until you can't see any when I exhal.
My 510 fits insde my hand so no one can see it.

If you want to have fun vape at the gas pump wile your filling your car. You will be suprised at how many people freak out on you until you explain the it is a vaporizer then they appolagize.

Not to be disrespectful, but I wouldn't vape while filling up. One day you might be using a provari with a 306 1.5 ohm lr, and forget it can get cherry red in under a second.

Would it reach the flashpoint? Maybe not, but it could ignite it if it sparks, and I imagine you could get a HV mod with a LR atty hot enough to pull that off. I won't be doing any videos on it though. Maybe a chem engy can pick me apart. :)

I think if you're using a standard mod, it's probably pretty safe.

I'm not even sure about that. IDK for sure but there must be some reason beyond an urban myth as to why using a cell phone is banned at the pump. There is always the potential for a short to occur in any electronic devise resulting in a spark. If the gas vapors are in just the right concentration then boom.

An ecig is a lot safer than letting your car stereo run, especially if it has amplifiers in the trunk area, but yeah, better safe than sorry. Then again, I'm kind of .....
