My first ego kit battery wouldn't charge unless I screwed on the charger really tight. One day, I screwed that charger on so hard I ripped off the top of the battery case unit along with the wire that that was soldered onto to the top of the battery. I then thoughtlessly tossed the battery in the recycling bin. I hope that never resulted in a human injury.

Putting a battery back in mod, seeing the wrap rip, the ring bend, and then the massive spark, the hissing from the battery as I'm yanking the ribbon to get the battery out as fast as possible... all of this within about one second..

And yup, the mod died not long after, and part of why after being just reader on this site for a while, I decided to actually create an account.

Early in my vaping career and both instances involved Ego batteries.

There was the one that ended up in the cup full of coffee. I swear I thought it was empty.

Then there was the suicidal one that leapt to it's depth to the concrete driveway while I was on the roof hanging Xmas lights. I tried to talk it down from the ledge but failed.

I built the coil for the RBA on the Cleito wicked and filled up the tank had a big smile on my face ready to vape... and I remembered I didn't pulse the coils and work on the hot spots... you can't acces the coil without draining the whole tank and taking it completely apart.:-x I hated that tank..

My worst OH NO moment was with my last surviving eGo 350 original. Was building a coil for it on a RDA and tried adjusting the coil with a jewelers screwdriver. My normal eye to hand coordination took over and accidentally fired it with the screwdriver touching the coil, the 350 lost all it's magic smoke.

I had so wanted to bring it over to my local shop with a Drip-on-Demand attached for the jaw dropping reactions of the help and clientele.

The guy that made those things sent me one without me even asking.
It's still in the Fedex box and I have yet to open it.

Should I?
Should I open it?

Last night, sitting in the basement watching TV and relaxing. I had had a bad day. A couple of weeks ago I tripped and hit my knee. Compressed the cartilage and knocked my knee cap out of place. Earlier yesterday, I was coming down the back stairs to the house and the old stairs gave way and broke, sending me down 4 steps and landing on my already bad knee. My knee and shin swelled up like there was a grapefruit under the skin. I tensed up when I landed and as a result, my whole body is racked with pain (well that's not true, my nipples feel ok which is unusual because I normally don't think about my nipples at all. Most men don't. Most men are only aware of the nipples on the opposite sex, which we enjoy very much when we are allowed to see them and they are attractive. The unattractive ones are like a disappointing present you are excited to open but then are sad it wasn't remotely what you were expecting. Your own are like the fan belts on your car and you only notice them when something is wrong). So I was on painkillers, watching TV and reached up for my Super T Workhorse and Taifun GS and knocked it over and had to watch it fall, breaking the plastic tank. It sheared off at the threads and I couldn't get the remaining piece off why my hands or tools. I had to melt the remain plastic to get it off. Luckily, I have the original metal tank and was able to put it on.

So glad to see I'm not the only one! Looks just like my cat, same color and sitting in front of my monitor, always interrupting at the most inopportune times. We refer to him as Ghost Cat since he appears out of nowhere and disappears in a blink. Be it in the middle of a game, filling a tank, or positioning/tweaking a coil, his radar zooms right in.

But my unrelated "OH, NO" moment was just a couple days ago. Filling my baby beast with a glass dropper who's tip barely fits in the fill slot. I wiggled it slightly to make sure the juice went in the slot and heard a faint clink. Checked and sure enough, a very small piece broke of into the tank. I figured a small piece of glass could not make its way through the coil, but emptied and thoroughly cleaned the tank and replaced the coil just to be safe or as close as possible to being safe. Just wish I could blame it on the cat.

So after chatting here carrying MOD and a bottle of water to my truck put MOD in hand with water to grab keys and hit the remote. Got in car started driving hit the MOD and WOW What The :censored:??? Apparently hit up button and wattage was at 45 watts. Aspire BVC coils don't like that at all!

My little buddy once decided I wasn't giving him enough attention when I was restoring a PC so he climbed on the desk and walked across my Keyboard Crtl/Alt/Delete! Beep Beep rebooted and restarted the restore! He sat in my lap getting scritched for the next 3 hours.
