Vaping in cars - do you or don't you?

I vape in my car, window cracked, I usually use MTL setups while driving. I've had people say it smells like whatever my most recent flavor was but it usually goes away after a while, I don't notice it persisting the way smoke does.

I vape in my Chevrolet Express Cargo Van and I usually leave the passenger window completely open or half the way down. At 170W I need the negative air pressure to clear out the compartment as fast as possible.

I vape all the time up until my wife gets in and does her "This is killing me, I'm allergic, if you loved me you wouldn't do that" wheezing, coughing fit routine. If she didn't make a crap load of money dancing on table tops for men near airports, I'd install an ejection seat and James Bond her out of the car. In winter I vape so much that enough VG builds up on my windows to resemble fake snow on a Macy's holiday window.

:D

I vape in my car all of the time. I never have random passengers, I'm either alone, with my wife who also vapes, or with my teenage daughter who is frequently around me when I vape.

As others have said, if you subohm and blow big clouds, leave the window cracked. I normally have mine either half open or open all the way unless it's the middle of summer and really hot outside. It's never fully closed when I'm driving though, I hate not having some fresh air, even when it's 100+ outside.

But I will admit, I did think about closing my windows and not vaping at all when I looked at my radio and saw this:

Scary how hot it can get in bumper to bumper traffic in the Texas summer, isn't it?

For the record, the hottest track temperature ever measured in F1 was in the 1984 F1 GP in Dallas. The track temperature was an almost unbelievably hot 151 degrees.

Fresh leather and upholstery may smell awesome, but they doesn't taste too good.

The "new car smell" isn't fresh leather and upholstery.

The "new car smell" that people love so much is actually chemical fumes coming from the curing adhesives, plasticizers, and sealers. These release VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) in gaseous form as they cure. VOCs are toxic and while you smell that "new car smell" the toxins are anywhere from 30-50 times higher than recommended levels.

I used to work in a car dealership doing automotive detailing and electrical work. One of the reasons I quit was the large amount of exposure to those fumes I received every day was making me sick.

I have a mod in my hand the entire time I am in my car alone or with my wife.

I never vape in the car when my 3yr old is in the car.

How is your kid ever going to develop any smog resistance if you don't vape around the kid? Vaping around kids only builds up their immunities and nicotine will help stave off Alzheimer's. Sure, you might think you are doing him a favor now, but 70 years from now...

Not if you play "Rocking Robin" and make your van look like an old piece of crap. In that case, fog rolling out the windows is contextually appropriate (provided you get the Cheech and Chong reference).

Lovely. Try driving upstate New York when it's -20. I don't wanna crack the window because it'll vapor-snow inside the car!

I still vape when my boys (now 8 and 4) are in the car. I always keep a window cracked and habitually exhale towards it.

This is one of the things I kinda wish nobody had ever told me. New cars are forever ruined for me now. If what you say is true, I feel like I should wear a painter's mask for a test drive. o_O

Anyway, fresh leather and upholstery do smell good on their own, without the dealer chemical treatment. :D

Yeah, that's hellish.

It's fixin to get up to ~110 around here for a few months, but at least it's a dry heat! :D

I vape in the car with the windows down or cracked all the time, whether I'm alone or with passengers. When the weather isn't cooperating and I have to roll them up I might take 1 or 2 puffs, but even blowing down I find my car gets hazy if I vape more.

I haven't noticed it being an issue for the leather and haven't gotten many comments on the smell. Though now I'm thinking maybe after I clean the leather I should go fog it up to help the smell. I'll never get why everyone else loves the smell of leather cleaner, lol.
