Vaping in prison...

What are your thoughts? Agree? Disagree?

I think it'd tone down some aggressive behaviors the inmates would have. I remember from being a smoker, if I didn't have a cigarette and get that nicotine, I wasn't very kind or polite and couldn't concentrate until I had it.

I think it is a very good idea. I have worked in both a county jail and a state prison. I was actually working in the state prison when they went smoke-free in the early\mid 90s and it wasn't a fun time. It was tobacco-free for both the inmates and staff. Tempers were on edge and we still had a problem with the contraband being brought in to the facility.

To me, this just causes more issues for the employees. Hard enough as it was to keep things ok. Just another object to confiscate everyday if it's not on their canteen. I'm all for "100% Nicotine Free" facilities just due to issues arising.
