Sorry, 23 pages, so I haven't read through them all. I work in hospitals all over the U.S. I don't generally vape in the hospitals because I figure it would just be a hassle to explain what is going on. However, I've been in a few hospitals in which I've seen other people vaping. In those cases, I have no issues with vaping there. If I'm in a restaurant or other similar establishment, I ususaly don't vape. However, I'm generally not in such a place long enough to worry about it. I don't go to bars enough anymore to even know what I'd do in that situation

Im in the military just the misconception of it and the not knowing i get you cant do that hear go out to the smoking area if i test the waters once an awhile even tho they know what it is they still dont understand it fully and just listen and move on or just go out there to the locale watering hole if you will and take my break and have it like a person smoking an analog and answer all the questions and have some convert pretty nice and making mods now to they all want some from me... when i go to the civilian side i dont do it in public places in doors for one with Californian laws dont feel like trying to dig out of a whole that it might put me in so i wait to get to the car or do it outside while waiting for a table my cravings are non sometimes i go all day without if im moving around to much shopping with the wife and everything but if we go to Vegas or primm ill do it in the casino floor and ill get questions and or looks then ill explain it away and tell them how much better i feel and how much i can breathe now and how i took 2 mins off my 2 mile run that was a huge difference from when i was a smoker if there smokers ill pull it out if not then i dont unless i ask first just to make sure its ok as a courtesy to the other people or the house or establishment if i have the need it might seem ok

Since I've been vaping word has spread at the office that I've made the switch and I've had a lot of folks "stop by to chat". I don't vape while anyone, even smokers discussing the subject, are in the vicinity. As I've explained when asked why I don't openly vape, I don't want to see someone walk down the hall chomping on bubblegum and blowing baseball size bubbles. It is a place of business. However, done discreetly and respectfully no one has issue with chewing gum, so there should be no issue with vaping. It won't be an issue until someone gives reason for it to be an issue. Smoking on the grounds was not an issue until thoughtlessness (clogging up the walkways), inconsiderate behavior (butts tossed on the ground), and disrespect (large numbers of "on-the-clock" employees, obviously not working, assembling in open view to guests and customers) made it an issue. As in all things, it comes down to taking personal responsibility for doing the right thing.

I vape just about anywhere, unless there is a sign specifically prohibiting e-cigs (yes, I've seen one). The way I feel about it - I'm not smoking, the vapor does not have any odor and therefore is not obnoxious, so the prohibitions against smoking do not apply to me.

That's good you have no feeling like everyone is watching you lol i kind of have those feelings like if im being watched and there going to start a problem with me over it so i do it where its allowed like smoking areas or i at least ask if i could just dont give us a bad name courtesy goes a long way and makes what most of fighting for a lot easier should read the news thread and other forums about vaping in public and the news forum about what could happen to us because of the misconception and ignorant people out there.

I don't feel like people are watching me, and I've had no one get belligerent or act like I'm smoking. But I -have- had quite a few people come up and ask me about the e-cig, either for themselves or for a loved one who smokes. I've actually gotten 3 other people off of analogs and onto e-cigs since I started. I'm proud to be a reformed smoker - and I'm not going to hide it. :)
