I loved those vents too. The smoke used to suck right out and no danger of ash coming back in. It kept the rain out too.
I never understood why they stopped with the ashtrays. With all the forest fires and cigarette .... litter on the streets, you'd think they'd encourage keeping them in the cars. Do they really think not having an ashtray will discourage a cigarette smoker from smoking? Last summer when I smoked, I bought and installed a lighter kit for my car that turned the accessory power outlet in the dashboard into a lighter. In addition to the lighter itself, I had to change the casing and put a stronger fuse in with it.
For 3 months I have been chain
vaping in my office without smoking and I haven't noticed a film on anything. I just cleaned half my LCD screen just to check and can't see a difference and nothing shows up on the cleaning cloth. I just had a dental cleaning last week and no unusual film or stains reported and my gums got complements for the very first time. Maybe it depends on the type of ejuice you use. I'll watch for it now.
As an experiment when I first started
vaping I exhaled about 20 drags through a tissue, let it dry, and couldn't see anything on the tissues. Compared to a cigarette I found that pretty amazing. I just inhaled through a tissue and there is a clear oil type spot that hasn't dried like a water spot yet. Interesting. Maybe I'll let this inspire me to stop chain
vaping for entertainment rather than nicotine delivery.
EDIT: came back after a few hours and both spots have dried and disappeared on the tissue. No trace of them, so apparently 80 PG/20 VG inhaled vapor just takes longer to dry tah water. Sorry if I misled anyone.
I too sometimes smell pungent e-juices on clothes, but I think that comes more from refilling spills. Certain tobaccos flavors in particular seem to hang around for short periods. Again not even in the ball park of what a cigarette would do, but it is faintly there.
