Nothing wrong with mentioning it or asking the question, yes it is a logical thought to go from film on windows to lungs, but getting into arguments and bickering about it, just kind of derails the thread. Sadly I am probably contributing to that myself now. Just tired of seeing people get so damn hostile all the time lately. Maybe we an argument sub-forum or something?

Back on topic:

I have not noticed any film build up myself , but I don't vape constantly in my car either. I usually crack a window and turn up the heat when I do, so far has not been a huge deal for me.

What's your deal exactly? This is the second, nearly identical post you've made quoting something that no person in either thread stated. Of course no one knows the long term health effects. Ecigs have only been around for 7 years. That doesn't mean we can't listen to our bodies and use educated reasoning. Mine tells me I have stronger cardio vascular function when vaping over smoking, a stronger immune system, cleaner whiter teeth, and more energy overall. I don't need a long term study to tell me any of this.

In any case, vaping is a vice. Vices are called so because, in one way or another, they are deemed not to be good for us. Vice or no vice though, we're all going to die eventually. Until that happens, take a vape or two and chill out.

Thank you.

Hotwire, please stay on topic. If you insist on pointing out the ill effects of vaping create your own thread(s).

:blink:Well, now I'm curious. If it leaves a film on the windows of your car, what exactly is in that film? Has anyone tried wiping it and it was yellow like the nicotine that comes off of our walls when we've been smoking in the house? I guess I'm asking because we've been vaping in our Pilot with the windows up, not thinking twice about it. The kids are all in the back seat freaking out over the cool smells, like cinnamon and english toffee. Now I feel like crap because I might be making them filmy.....

Yes I should and wiil - tomorrow - it is 2.10am here now - start a thread in the health section and post a link to this thread as referance. Thank you.

I just kinda get anoyed with the pseudo science and oversimplified emotive arguments. For example - the fda are evil coz some of them want to ban e-cigs but let a known killer - cigarettes - remain on the market. Fact is; it is to late for that, banning cigarettes would lead - like prohabition of alcohol in the usa - to underground racketeering of cigarettes by nasty ganglord type folks and all of the nasty type of things that go hand in had with that.

Anyhow, this thread is not the forum for that, so thanks for tolerating my posting these issues here and I will place them in the appropriate forum tomorrow.

I haven't noticed film on the car windows yet, but I have never gotten all the tar from analogs off yet. I do notice the scent of what I am vaping on my clothes and coat, not sure I like it, but maybe it is just old smoke smell too!

How are you guys wiping windows with baby wipes or windex wipes and getting clean windshields? I cannot get windex, vinegar and water, ammonia and water, nothing to get that old smokey mess off of there!

I 2nd Rain-X!

Also try switching your juice. Certain juices leave a thicker film from my experience.

LOL 5vz if you serious about getting it clean, get somebody to detail your car.

Only way to get rid of the smoke/film was a full detail for me. Last time, it took me about 4 hrs to do a full detail.

Also try old newspaper to clean your windows (after you Rain-X/Windex/whatever cleaner). Something about the paper or ink absorbs more off the window.

Part of the problem might be the towels your using. Most paper towels have an additive that makes them more absorbent but adds to the streaking. Use clean cotton towels that have not been washed or dried with softener.

I also use a plastic pot scrubber pad, think steel wool made of plastic, to loosen it. Spray plenty of cleaner, scrub with pad, wipe with cotton towel. If it's really bad it might take 3 or 4 cycles to get fully clean.

n2rock,
the Rain-x looks cool! Can't believe I have not thought of that I should give it a try.

swedishfish,
I use the e-liquid from Madvapes, I'm not too sure on the PG content with thoes.

Everyone,
I do always carry windex and a towel in my car for this reason, but I have never found that it takes more than a few waves of the towel to get my window clean. Even still, it's annoying :)
Also, I would not be too worried about a film sticking to my lungs. The difference between "glass" and "lungs" is enormous, how could you even be sure that film would stick to vastly different surfaces?

Does anyone besides me miss the little wedge vent windows that used to be standard in automobiles? They were just too convenient for smokers. They left right before the ash tray disappeared. Shortly after that, the cigarette lighter socket was renamed the accessory power outlet.

It makes me think that car designers are required to be non-smokers (or non-vapers).
