Someone wondered why their blood pressure is elevated when they vape. Nicotine raises blood pressure...
We used to wonder why my son would get a rash when he washed with a certain soap.
Then eventually with the next soap.
Then eventually with the next soap.
Ad nauseum for years.
His pediatrician would only repeatedly do environmental allergy testing.
The only thing we were privy to was the pediatrician's and dermatologists diagnoses of eczema and no allergies.
I spent years ...... at the wife for not pushing the issue. We were to the point of abusing each other over the abuse she allowed the doctors to inflict on our son.
Then we moved.
Within 2 weeks the new pediatrician uncovered that he was allergic to wheat, milk and eggs.
Every freaking meal of his life was poisoning him.
His body couldn't expell fast enough what to him were toxins.
As he used each soap for longer periods of time, the perfumes, chemicals and what not either built up or simply became more irritating to him.
At times bathing him was the equivalent of lighting him on fire.
Upon eliminating these items almost completely from his diet... (Try doing it yourself... it'll take you years to figure out how to.)...
His "eczema" is nearly impossible to spot.
He touches these things from time to time and insists on indulging on his own accord whether by sneaking them at home or school... and his break outs are noticeable to us within 30 minutes.
Last week he started middle school. He had something dairy at lunch. Then he visited the school nurse. She called me freaking out, panicking and clueless.
I told her to stay calm. He's not dying. Call him back into the office. Rub his fingers on his left hand and behind his right ankle. Get to know how large the spots are, the coloration and texture. Then call him in in another hour. If nothings worse, he's fine.
But! If his belly or neck have any spots or his throat sounds horse or he complains of a sore throat, call me and we'll go from there.
She still sounded really anxious. But I'd laid panic to rest and she now knows how to deal with it properly.
My point? Blood pressure more difficult to understand. And the causes are much more difficult to test for.
The first simple minded, dopey answer isn't going to cut it... sometimes even from a doctor well versed in dealing with it.
Let's assume you're wrong so you don't have to "help" any more.
