I have had the luxury of smoking on a plane. Nothing can be better than this, it was a 4-5 hour flight, had my nicotine the whole way. As long as you put your e-cig through the carry on baggage check you're fine. At first I was being very discrete then I became braver and started blowing out beautiful plumage of vapor.

It can be done, but it is not allowed on many airlines. If you are careful, no one will even notice. vape, then blow your vapor into a napkin and nothing will be seen. Or, hold it a bit before the exhale and little or nothing will be visible. Or, vape, then blow it down towards the floor, and probably no one will notice. And, I have done it in the rest room on airplanes, but be careful, as I have heard that it can trigger the smoke alarm. Hasn't happened to me, but I have exhaled toward the floor. Be aware that Flight Attendents have had training on what to watch for, so they are looking, and watch out for them. Also other passengers - if they see vapor may complain to the staff. So, if you are careful, you should be OK! I have taken quite a few flights with no problems observing these precautions.

Ok heres how I did it....
I was stealth drinking too, but in the lounge it just looked like I was sucking on a pen, holdint the vapor in helps so when you exhale theres nothing there. on the plane there was no one sitting next to me, only in the other row, anyway I was going to go to the toilet but then just decided I can stealth it in the seat, and did well. At times I was looking the steward in the eye and inhaling and exhaling.
My plan was that if they asked me what it was i was just going to tell them it was an asthma inhaler/ vaporizer. Not worth the hassle.
