vaping on a plane

I was under the impression that vaping in the head of an airplane would not set off the smoke detectors, well it did! No major clouds, just about 3 quick hits.
There was a little uproar for a couple of moments. Obviously there was no tobacco odor, just a faint pina colada...and I had 3 confused people staring at me as I exited. I just played it dumb and nothing else happened.

Yup, most of the people who have been on ECF for a while know about this, but thanks for pointing it out to people again

It's not worth the risk of getting caught and if things go wrong, it can get bad.

What gave you that idea? All you had to do to test that "theory" was blow vapor at a smoke detector and listen to it going off to know whoever told you it wouldn't set one off was full of fluffybunnies

All people have smoke detectors in their home. A quick test of this in your home would give you a result. Yes there are different types, but still.

I don't believe it is a matter of a detector being smart. It is more a matter of the design.

I have vaped on a plane, but not anymore. To get caught just perpetuates a negative attitude by others.
