So I been out of town for the past week. I took a couple of my own diy mixes. But then didn't expect to be stuck at my mom's condo for the icepocolypse in ATL.

I also took a 50 ml bottle of a premix that used to be an ADV . now that i be had to start using the premix- I realize how much cleaner and better flavor my diy juices have.

Anyone else can't stand premixed bought juices that u used to like?

My main ingredients have been,
Nude nicotine nic base
Pg/VG from WL
VG from essential depot
TFA flavors from WL
NF or cappella's from HDV

:offtopic: I spent most of my life in Michigan, currently in AZ. When I see at lot of these warm weather places close up shop because of a little ice/snow, it makes me wonder what the people would do if they had to spend a winter in Michigan :D . I believe they have had over 100 inches of snow/ice so far this year

I don't really vape store bought anymore and I don't feel like I'm really missing anything either. I don't think it's all bad, some was even quite good. :vapor:

Cheers,
Steve

While I wouldn't want to be "stuck" vaping them exclusively, I still like some of the Halo stuff. I also like Eastwood and some others made by Indigo (but they came around long after I was DIY'ing my own) Can't remember the name, but there is one company that makes a gingerbread that is fantastic...and like real gingerbread I tire of it in fairly short order.

Kind of funny you should ask that. The wife and I loved some juices from Pink Spot. I have made my own now for some time and lately tried a couple of these 'pre-mades'.... Hmmmm, not as good as I remember them being. They kinda .... sucked. We like my DIY better like as you say, they are cleaner and I can get better flavor. The nice thing now is that I have pretty much been able to clone the favorites that we used to love. No more pre-mades for us!

I'm still ordering a lot of store bought stuff even though I have a lot of diy supplies. Trying different flavors is giving me ideas for when I want to get serious about DIYing. I do find that generally the juice from vendors doesn't have enough VG in it, even when you order it at higher ratios it seems to be watered down. The juice I make with 75% vg is very silky with a TON of vapor and even great throat hit and I haven't seen this duplicated in any juice from a vendor.

My 9 month old Halo juices I still find enjoyable but still do appreciate my own mixes custom made to the way I vape. I do have a few vender juices that I wonder how I ever vaped them. Talk about Ice and snow. Being in New Jersey you would think we are used to it but enough is enough already. By this time in the season we usually see about a foot and a half total of snow fall but this year we've already got over 4 feet of ice and snow and we are getting ready for another storm for tomorrow expected to bring 6 - 10". It's the same storm hammering the south right now.

We would steal your snow plows and salt/ice spreader trucks because we don't have any.

I still get The Plume Room Honey Fig Tobacco once in awhile, it's very tasty. There are a few I've tried in the past that are super-hyped but was mostly disappointed.

I cannot believe we were missed by this one... Good thing I never tire of driving my little bitty car past 4x4's stuck in the snow banks. Passed one today that had managed to put him/herself on the top of a 7' bank on the side of the road. On a road that has been solid ice for over 3 weeks, and is usually solid ice most winters, so the slickness of the road should not have been a surprise. I swear the ice pack on this road must be approaching a foot thick by now. It's been a great winter for snow! Reminds me of my childhood, so much fun...

(It's a road between farm fields in the middle of nowhere that has trees lining it, so the snow blows over, tires melt the snow, blowing wind refreezes it, and the trees keep the sun from melting it. Thought I would explain how these things happen so often to folks who might not be used to these conditions or think roads are always salted around here. The road I live on sees a government plow once a year, but the farmers and the tree cutting place at the end of the road keep it scraped fairly well, but we've never had salt on our road, nor the road the 4x4 was nested above.)

For the most part, I only vape tobacco-flavored juice and, so far, none I've made can hold a candle to my premixed ADV. I've just about given up in fact. I'm an impatient person and wish tobacco juices didn't take soooo long to steep. I wait and wait and wait, get all excited ready to taste, and they NEVER meausre up! I'm going to give it one more try after I get some toasted almond and black walnut and if that doesn't work, I'm done.

Wingsfan. I'm in ATL for the past 8 yrs. Grew up in NJ and spent 10yrs in Boston. ( Go Bruins! ) I laughed at first when a dusting of snow shut everything down.

This ice storm is way diff than I've seen and I've been around enough yrs to be in high school during the blizzard of 78 in NJ. southerners sure do know how to put on a good ice storm!

Im sure there's some store bought/ premixed from online vendors I would still like but the premix I currently have -- I noticed Gunk's up coils and its a simple fruit drink flavor.

Plus my taste buds are constantly changing. I'm glad to be successful with my diy. Plus 3 or 4 of my friends agree who can't get enough of a dragon blood mix I make.

Can't wait to get home and do some mixing.

I started with a store bought tobacco flavor. Which I quickly switched to fruits, drinks, coffees, desserts.

I still enjoy a tobacco base once in a while which I mix a ry4d.

Just recently got in tfa tobacco flavors and one from nude nic. I plan to try in the near future.

I see others in this thread talk about various vendors. I jumped into diy fairly quick. Had primarily ordered from one online vendor and bought from one local store.

I made the mistake of stopping at a B&M in Asheville a few months ago. I tried their banana pudding and now I'm hooked! Other than my peanutbutter that I vape with my chocolate/coffee shake every morning... the banana pudding has become my favorite! If only I knew their recipe! It's absolutely perfect! banana pudding and I can taste the nilla wafers! It's like a spoonful of the real thing every time I vape! I should have known better than to try a premade juice after a couple years of being happy with what I make :glare: At least it isn't too expensive .. $15 for 30ml

I live near Detroit and this winter has been pretty brutal. Funny though, because I actually enjoy all the snow/ice. Me and a couple friends strap on snow boots/snow pants and go hiking around in the scenery around here (wooded areas/rivers, I'm sure you know how beautiful Michigan is). Meanwhile, most people around here are walking around in regular shoes and cussing the fact that there's snow in between their shoes and socks

On topic, I don't really vape vendor juice anymore. To be fair, I haven't tried that many vendors. I've had Halo, MBV, VapeDudes, HHV, ECB, Alien Visions, and DeejStuff. I don't like any of them anymore besides the occasional tank of Bobas. I guess I've spoiled myself into adjusting the VG ratio/flavor profile/coil gunkability to perfection. Getting overbearingly sweet, perfumey, or bland juices that scratch my throat with PG and gunk my coils for more money than I'm willing to spend doesn't work for me anymore. But I'll admit, I've been eye-ing down a few vendor juices that I may sample in the near future.

Don't wait mix and vape if it taste good continue to vape. If not put it away and try it again in a few weeks. It's always good to have a starting point to gauge how well the steep is going.

Ice storms are bad no matter what geography you live in.

Snow storms are one thing, but ice storms are a whole different animal.

Were gearing up today for another round of ice and snow for tonight into friday. I've had enough snow for one season.
