I'm new to vaping, but I've noticed dry lips, a sore throat at first (gone now), and then my entire mouth seemed to shed a layer of dead skin or gunk or whatever. That was actually a good thing, because now my tongue is nice and pink. I got a nose drip almost immediately, which has now turned into a full-blown sinus infection. I've also had a bit of nausea, probably thanks to the sinus thing. I'm hoping all of this will go away shortly and is caused from tobacco withdrawal and not an allergy to PG.
Similar for me. Some dehydration, chapped lips, runny nose. The runny nose lasted for maybe a week. I had forgotten about that. I have a LOOOOONG history of very nasty sinus infections, often turning into bronchitis and even pnuemonia a couple of times. Two sinus operations. I did pick up a slight infection recently, but I don't think it has anything to do with vaping. My sinus infections seem to be more connected to dry heat during the winter. A humidifier in the bedroom helps a LOT.
Do you know what a netty pot is? My ENT doctor told me to use sterile saline solution to help things out. Basically, you warm up the saline, hang your head off the end of the bed, and squirt it right up in there. After about 20 seconds, get up and let it drain. At the clear risk of being gross, the amount of stuff that drains can be amazing when you have an infection. Many if not most infections are caused by blockages.
I am also pretty sure that my sinus infections are not bacterial, they are viral, maybe even some wierd herpes sort of thing. (I don't have Herpes in the usual sense when the term is used), but viruses can be the cause of such problems. Like Herpes, some viruses can calm down and flare back up periodically. If you start to run a fever, see a doc. Antibiotics never helped me, only when it got really bad did I get some steroid meds and that was the only thing that would work, but can't be taken very often.
Some people have reactions to PG or VG it seems. It doesn't seem to matter to me.
In any case, compared to what I felt like 3 weeks ago, vaping has clearly proven to be improving my health already.
