I thought Id share this which occurred to me AFTER I posted before.
A few years ago I gave up sugar - I decieded to try the South Beach Diet because a friend said it gave you great skin and hair and importantly for me (the main reason) more energy.
Well I did great - stuck to it for months - BUT - giving up sugar felt like HELL for the first 2 or 3 weeks because of the awful headaches I got. I had never EVER thought of sugar as any kind of drug but it sure felt as if I had been taking something illegal and was detoxing when I gave up sugar. My skin broke out, I had the headaches (which the dieticians say are normal when removing sugar from the diet), felt ill, really tired all the time (ironically lol) ...
The SB diet involves reintroducing SOME suagrs but mroe natural ones and nowhere near as many as a 'normal' diet and when i saw this thread it later reminded me of that time. If thats jsut from SUGAR then I can't imagine the side effects that some people might go through givng up 4k other chemicals.
After about 3 weeks i felt WONDERFUL though and yes I had bundles of energy.
Just a thought to keep things real :)

Headaches are sometimes due to a slight allergy to the PG based e-liquids. I have a few customers that have had this side effect, once they swithched to VG based juice they have no more headaches. Personally I have stress vaped myself into a headache, but maybe it was the stress and not the vaping. I say try the VG juice and even lower your nic content and see how it works.

I find that I tend to "overvape" and it gives me a very dry mouth with a horrible taste. I do drink lots of H20. Haven't had headaches, but I have been getting blisters (for lack of a better term) on my lips inside the mouth. I'm not sure if it's an allergy or not. And it's hard to do an elimination because some juices don't list out all the ingredients if any at all. What I find really helps me is to take a Benedryl caplet. Within 1/2 hour, the blisters are gone. I still have the lousy taste, but at least I can deal with that. I keep wondering how my sense of taste is going to come back when my mouth constantly feels like an army marched through it. Hopefully this is something that will pass, but I worry that I'm doing damage to the mucus membranes of my mouth. Guess everything has a downside.... there is no perfect solution.

Side effects of not taking in the chemicals and yes a little more sinus action - drink water. Also, I was taking in too much nicotine the first week to get over the analogs and was WIRED! Brain function was all over the place...glad that was short lived. My husband probably thought I was losing it. :) Two weeks and everything went back to normal...but better with the coughing, stinking, etc.

Water for sure.... and it's always good to keep hydrated no matter what you are doing. I know my nicotine intake is all over the map. Need to watch that more carefully. Luckily though, no bad side effects from it so far.
I can't believe how much better I do feel in terms of the morning hacking, not having to clear my throat so often when speaking, the lack of the analog stench, and best of all, especially down here in FL, is being able to drive with the windows up. When using analogs, I always wanted a window open to try to lessen the smell in the car..... like it helped....lol. But, I just went to the car wash and vacuumed up all the ashes in the car that had blown back in and now will just have to deal with sand only.

Yep, Whiskey, I did manage to catch that.....lol

I'm definitely drinking more H20 since I started vaping. But, down here in this giant steam room I live in (FL), it's good. I'm finding vaping to be a real doubled edge sword. The benefits in theory are great, but I had no idea how much time I'd spend messing around with the PV. I know it's lack of experience. I'm trying to watch videos that explain how to fill the cartridges (thanks to those who suggested that). It seems that there are many ways to skin the cat here and figuring out which one will work best for you must be part of the learning curve. Hopefully we will figure it out before our frustration causes the PV's to go airborne. lol
The good side is how much better I feel. It's so nice to wake up and not start hacking. It's also great to know that I don't smell like an ashtray anymore. I never realized how bad you smelled when smoking analogs. I feel like apologizing to all the peeps I most likely offended with my lovely "aroma" when I was smoking. I'm still waiting for my taste buds to wake up again. I have no idea when that will be.
I know I need to be more patient and dig my heels in and learn, learn, learn. Luckily, there are so many helpful members who are willing to step up to the plate and offer advice and share their trials and tribulations. It helps me greatly.
