I've always thought the best thing anyone can do for their own mental health and well-being is...
Not to give a flying crap what other people think of you.
:)

But, if you do that, you must also take care not to be a jerk.
Because if you are a jerk, and don't care what people think of you, then you're a ..........

It's a fine line to walk sometimes.

Makes perfect sense to me (I think kinda maybe) lol

Ran into some people with really nice mods the other day. So I decided to say hi. We were having a wonderful conversation about our wraps and mods and flavors when all of the sudden the woman exclaimed "you smells like smoke. That's disgusting!" I replied by apologizing for the smell and confessed I still occasionally have a cigarette. She and her husband turned their noses up at me and refused to carry on the conversation. Awkward to say the least but I feel it was pretty mean of them to be so snobby about it when it was obvious they use to smoke too.

Anyone else run into people like this?

While I don't defend jag-off behavior, I can tell you that if you are still smoking you probably don't realize how bad it smells. I am a former smoker, and there is never a day that goes by when I don't at some point think to myself "geez, I used to smell like that and didn't realize it?". Seriously, smoking smells way worse than you realize if you're still doing it. Would I say to you what those people did? No. Would I ask why you were still smoking since you found vaping? Yes! Ultimately, it's all good, do what you need to do. Every vape is 1 less cig, but just don't be too hard on us non-smokers. Once you fully switch over, you'll start to notice how bad it smells too...

Glad I didn't get discouraged by anybody like that.

It took me a year and half, a GD year and a half to get rid of cigarettes altogether. Long story but my routine changed up on vacation around nothing but non smokers/vapers and 100% vapers only. Finally got past the alcohol barrier after I ran out of cigarettes and suddenly didn't care. Nobody bothered me about smoking before I ran out of cigs. Me puffing away was kind of expected. I've been doing it most of my life.

It's only been just over a month but my previous best in that year and half was only 3 days, 6 days if you count the stretch on vacation before I smoked a pack on the way home across the country (2,000 miles). I think I'm on to something with this streak, like it's for real. I don't want to say forever, that's a scary word. Avoiding forever at least kept me vaping and cutting down the cigarettes and opening my eyes to see that I didn't really need them. Anyway I'm not going to say for the rest of my life but I really don't want to pick up a real cigarette anytime soon and open that can of worms again.

Talking to new vapers or people thinking about it I preach the word that you don't have to give up your smokes you can have one whenever you want. You never HAVE TO quit but you can replace a cigarette anytime you need to sneak one or whatever, the flavors are pretty neat it's a nice change up, just sub vaping for a few cigs and it will start to save money, chances are you want to quit or drastically reduce you cig consumption without really trying too much.

Sure, sort of. When I moved into my house my neighbors at the time invited my late wife and I to an afternoon garden party, and we were never invited back after the lady of the house found out that I was a working stiff that invaded her neighborhood. Apparently she thought that even though I make "professional" money and could afford a house in a "professional" neighborhood, the fact that I wear steel-toed boots and a hard hat for a living put me outside her social circle.

Strangely enough, my life wasn't changed one bit by her rejection, lol.

I live 45 minutes from you and know exact;y what you are talking about, with the heat, the south, the tech, and the nothingness that goes on around here.

there is a vape shop here that has "vape snobs" working in it. its crazy. cause everyone I run into talks about what a-holes they all are. they will sit behind the counter with that"check out my mod", and "watch this vape cloud " while you have to literally rtun them down to get some help. and lord. don't have a question or wonder how something actually works, or expect advice from the PEOPLE WORKING AT THE STORE!!!!

as of recent I started boycotting their shop. a few people quit because they and to pick up all the work. and now when I pass by there, there are less cars in front of the store. I think we are all in this together, everyone trying to get off the cigs. we are here to encourage each other with positive attitudes, and try to convert smokers into vapers. thats just my outlook. and I know I am often not right. but I try

This is why I order 99.9 percent of things online.
I only got to a vale shop if there is something that I can't wait for usps to drop off.
With the exception being my buddies shop but I'll only go there in the morning before he gets busy.

Characteristic function

Let X denote a Cauchy distributed random variable. The characteristic function of the Cauchy distribution is given by

\phi_X(t; x_0,\gamma) = \mathrm{E}\left[e^{iXt} \right ] =\int_{-\infty}^\infty f(x;x_{0},\gamma)e^{ixt}\,dx = e^{ix_0t - \gamma |t|}.

which is just the Fourier transform of the probability density.[citation needed] The original probability density may be expressed in terms of the characteristic function, essentially by using the inverse Fourier transform:

f(x; x_0,\gamma) = \frac{1}{2\pi}\int_{-\infty}^\infty \phi_X(t;x_0,\gamma)e^{-ixt}\,dt \!

Observe that the characteristic function is not differentiable at the origin: this corresponds to the fact that the Cauchy distribution does not have an expected value.

Hy, you know that's only gonna work if you use VTC4s, right ;)

Dude, I am the definition of dense.
I starred vaping in October; but never looked online. It was my last semester of school, I'm s middle aged gimp going back to school for electrical engineering and building robots to compete against Yale and MITs robotics team and I didn't loom on the interwebs to learn about vaping until march.
Up until may we hade 1 vape shop and they new it: I would roll in and they would sell me an eroll kit- sucked, horrible. All the cool kids looked like they were playing with adult toys and I was too dense to ask anything. Went back in and paid almost 60 bucks for an ego/evod.
I swear my chair must have rape me written oncit someplace.
That foolishness went on until march:
Between October and March I bought
1blu kit; 1 eroll kit, 2 ego starters 1100 mah, 1 ego starter 1600 mah-
All totaled I dropped over 400 on foolishness.

Then I got bored one day and discovered that the little nerd box I use to design circuits also let's me use this google thing. That helped my find the ECG place and that led me to a veteran provarinati, who spent some time teaching me that egos were wrong for me and I should go spend 40 bucks on an MVP and it was on from there!
3 days later I put down cigs for good and 20 days after that got my first provari and first Kayfun.
Now we have 8 shops within 5 miles of my house. And if I go in with my p-thingy showing the employees are tripping over themselves to help. If I go in with my MVP showing they'll ask so long as I signal.
It's sad. Really.
Now, my fiancé go in and they can't get oh quick enough- lol.
Granted I only go to that 1 store that messed me up for mothers milk. It's the only thing my girl vales and try are the only place that sells it here: everything else I go to my friends shop. I'll call him first to minimize his time invested but I won't spend any more than in have to someplace that basis it's treatment of customers on the equipment they use.

I'm all about supporting local business; but only the ones that support vapors for the right reasons.

No thanks required brother, that's what it's about; I'm glad I'm able to help.
